After careful surveys, Advantage cards are issued to the most deserving patients in and around Deoband, which qualifies them for subsidized treatment programs at Tayyab Hospital Deoband. Monthly Food packs are also home delivered to hundreds of unsupported widows, elderly and differently abled beneficiaries. 3. Low Cost Housing Ashiana Project : Housing is our basic need, and probably one of the main responsibility of the government to ensure that every one of its citizen have access to a dignified housing. Unfortunately in a modern day imbalanced society millions are homeless or living in substandard structures. Ashiana is our initiative to confront this problem in a small way through which
5 we are helping the deserving and at the same time creating awareness in the society by showing and economical and efficient approach of handling this critical issue. Tayyab Trust provides financial assistance in constructing the very basic housing or repairs of the existing structures. Under this project we have built over 800 low cost houses so far for the disaster victims, unsupported widows and homeless. 4. Water & Sanitation Hand Pumps : In the past 2 years, more than 200 hand pumps have been installed in urban and rural slums, shelters and camps of disaster victims and in other areas where there was no provision of clean drinking water, and water for their wash. WashTayyab Trust team of experts conducts hygiene awareness and training programs for making the masses aware of the importance and advantages of hygiene in their lives. 5. Skill Development Tayyab Trust established many vocational centers in different regions of the country, in which youth are being trained in IT and computers, paramedics, nursing, construction, home decor, tailoring, beautician, and many other industry linked courses. Special courses have been designed for Madarsa students and Pardah bearing girls in such a way they can earn a respectable income while adhering to the lifestyles of their choice. Tayyab Trust Is proud to be part of a national effort to bring the youth of the country into the formal sector of employment at the global standard. 7. Seasonal Projects Winter Relief: November to February is a cold season in North India where in some parts temperature drops to single digits. This time is extremely harsh for millions who do not have arrangements of warm clothing and comforters. Every year in this season Tayyab Trust provides warm clothing and blankets and heavy quilts (Lihaf with 3 Kg cotton) to thousands of deserving families in urban and rural slums, homeless and other poor and needy. Ramadan Iftaar: Under our project of FEED THE FASTING, each year over 7000 Iftaar Packs are distributed in many parts of the country among those who are fasting but do not have enough food to break their fast with. A multi religious community feast is also organized in which poor from all communities are invited to jointly participate in the Iftaar and appreciate the essence of the fasting month.
6 CURRENT PROJECT 1. Affordable healthcare program continues to serve the disadvantaged community through Tayyab Hospital, mobile clinic and free healthcare camps. Total year outreach of this program is about 60,000 patients. In 2017 we are working to connect nearby rural PHC (Primary Healthcare Centers) with Tayyab Hospital Deoband so that advance diagnostic, radiology and surgery services can be extended to the rural poor of their areas. Charitable services under this program include Maternity, surgery, IPD, OPD, diagnostics and ambulance. 2. Government of India s initiatives for skill building are also being included in our effort for skilling the unemployed youth. A successful pilot project was tested for Madarsa students in which they were trained in office management, Tally ERP9, Internet and Social Media, Adobe Premier Pro for video editing, still and video camera handling, and Spoken Arabic and English. This one year course enables them to perfectly blend into a modern corporate working environment, teach in an E Madarsah concept or manage their own business. Efforts are underway to connect the newly created skilled workforce with microfinance and SHGs for the eventual outcome of economic upliftment of the target community more low cost houses under our Ashaina Project are under construction in for the unsupported widows, homeless, displaced and migrated families. 4. Under our poverty alleviation program Regular Monthly Food Packs are delivered to 50 unsupported widows, marriage expenses were paid for the poor girls who were engaged for a while but couldn t get married because of financial constraints.
