1 Version 8.1 Criteria Comparison Document This document compares the current PPHR Criteria Version 8.1 with Version 8. The criteria were updated to increase alignment with changes to federal preparedness guidelines, such the Operational Readiness Review tool. NACCHO s Preparedness Planning, Outcomes, and Measurement Workgroup, comprised of local public health practitioners, also provided ideas, feedback, and subject matter expertise to ensure that PPHR remains the best possible program to improve all-hazards preparedness at the local level. The purpose of this document is to assist agencies applying for PPHR recognition to understand the latest standards for preparedness planning, training, and exercising initiatives that are required of new applicants. It will also help LHDs familiar with older versions of the criteria create applications that comply with the current criteria. Versions 8.1 of the PPHR Criteria are located on the PPHR website at: Application Revisions Revised/updated guidance for criteria elements Revised/updated glossary links and terms Revised/updated references and hyperlinks Use of consistent language, structure, and numbering 1
