2 Type of work to expect and learning opportunities Emergency Medicine. You will have dedicated teaching sessions on one day a month (alternating Tuesday and Thursday). There will be senior support on the shop floor 24 hours a day'. The Emergency department has 16 junior doctors and 9 middle grade supported by 7 Consultants. You will be allocated to different areas of the department (resuscitation room, HDU, majors areas, paediatrics, minor injuries) by the senior doctors on shop floor. You will have dedicated teaching session on Tuesday between hours. There will be senior support on shop floor 24 hours a day. To make diagnosis and clinical decision making with senior support 24 hou day and by following the emergency department guidelines on the intranet Be punctual on all the shift and contribute to the handover meeting with goo continuity of care Promptly assesses the acutely ill, collapsed or unconscious patient by responding to acutely abnormal physiology Managing patients with acute emergencies from all specialities including paediatrics Managing emergencies from psychiatry, maxillofacial and ENT specialities Undertakes regular patient review once blood results, xray investigations ar ready. Discuss management of patients before discharging them especially in child Good Medical record-keeping and correspondence and Interface with GPs, different specialties and with other professionals outside the trust Practice Safe prescribing and Safe use of medical devices abiding by the tr
