1 EMT 101 First Aid CTPG CREDIT HOURS: 2.00 CONTACT HOURS: COURSE DESCRIPTION: First Aid This course is designed to provide the citizen responder with the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until professional help arrives. EXPECTED OUTCOMES EXPECTED COMPETENCIES Upon successful completion of this course, the student will have competency in the following areas: 1.
