ANNOUNCEMENTS Legislative Day 2017 at Sacramento Capital February 13 th from 8:30 am 4 pm Register at the CSRC GBAR website CSRC Board of Directors meeting on Sunday before Legislative Day Fundamental Clinical Care Support Update presented by Mark Siobal FCCS is one of the many programs designed by the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) offered throughout the US at licensed institutions or online. FCCS is a 2-day certification program that prepares all clinical practitioners to care for critically ill patients. Test to follow at end of program to be certified 70% to pass and valid for 4 years. Advantage of FCCS for RTs is that training includes topics in cardiovascular support, ACLS, sedation protocols, infectious diseases and more, which is a broad overview of everything having to do with critical care support. More importantly, it is a bridge to advance our credentialing status. Mark hoping to initiate a FCCS program associated with UCSF to provide this certification opportunity to therapists and other health personnel in the bay area.
