World Sight Day is an annual day of awareness to focus global attention on blindness, visual impairment and rehabilitation of the visually impaired held on the second Thursday in October, every year. World Sight Day is observed around the world by all Eye Care Professionals involved in preventing visual impairment or restoring sight. As per WHO in India there are 133 million people who are visually impaired or blind due to non availability of glasses. And this figure is globally around 670 million.
