2 EXPANDING HIGH-QUALITY EMPLOYER-DRIVEN PARTNERSHIPS New Jersey Health Care Industry Cluster From 1990 through 2016, the health care sector has added 213,200 new jobs, while all other private sector employment has had a net increase of 190,100 jobs Health care is the only industry that has added jobs in the state every year from 1990 through 2016 while increasing its share of jobholding from 7.5% in 1990 to 11.9% in 2016 The outlook for health care employment is bright. From 2014 through 2024, it is projected that 85,300 jobs will be added, an annual increase of 1.7%

There are over 40 registered apprenticeship programs within the Healthcare Industry. 91% of apprentices are employed after completion of their program.
