Service to the Organization: Provides leadership for multiple hospital-wide initiatives including: Human Services Director for the Hospital Emergency Incident Command System (HEICS); membership on the Human Subjects Institutional Review Board, Ethical Issues Subcommittee, Utilization Management Subcommittee, the Accreditation Subcommittee; business planning for an on-site Skilled Nursing Facility; development of training programs for all UIHC staff in the recognition and reporting of Child or Dependent Adult Abuse; facilitating root cause analysis teams; chairing the Domestic Violence Subcommittee and chaired a Departmental Review of UIHC s Rehabilitation Therapies Department. Completed advanced management training courses including Total Quality Management (1990), UIHC Advanced Management Institute (1991) and UIHC Institutional Leadership Development Program (2000). Instituted a Social Work Leadership Academy to train social workers to be more effective in their health care practice and as members of interdisciplinary teams.
