3 Nassau Regional EMS Council 2201 Hempstead Tpke, Bin 78 East Meadow, New York Telephone: Fax: Greetings from the Chairman The Nassau Regional EMS Council is responsible for the coordination of Emergency Medical Services within the geographic borders of our region. Article 30 of the Public Health law delineates many responsibilities and tasks to the Regional Council, but the primary mission is to coordinate the delivery of pre-hospital care to the residents and visitors of the Nassau Region. The Council itself is composed of representatives of the various constituencies that comprise our EMS system, including Fire, Police, and EMS Agencies, both transporting and non-transporting, Commercial and Hospital based providers, training academies and Governmental Agencies. The Council represents the entire Nassau EMS community at the local, county and state level. There are multiple standing and special committees of the council that work together to complete the task of providing Emergency Medical Services within out borders. This task is a daunting one with over 100,000 calls received annually for emergency medical care. We are proud of the care delivered and the cooperative spirit and teamwork that delineates the effort to provide this care. This directory serves as a resource and focal point for our EMS providers. We encourage the use of the information provided to enhance the response and delivery of pre-hospital care. The Officers, Members and staff of the Nassau Regional EMS Council invite the entire EMS community to participate in the work of the council. Council meetings are open to all EMS providers and the public. Information regarding Council and Committee meetings and the regional EMS system can be found at our website; Feedback, particularly from the EMS community is welcome and encouraged. Please feel free to contact the Council and its staff at any time for questions, problems, concerns or any EMS related issue. Stay Safe, Scott Glazer Scott Glazer, Chairman
