Who ca atted: APRN urses, staff urses, CE Providers, urses workig i critical care, staff developmet educators, udergraduate ad graduate ursig faculty workig with studets i critical care settigs. This is the first time that the ELNEC Critical Care Curriculum has bee offered at the NBNA atioal coferece. 2-days, workshop cotiues o Thursday, August 7, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Class size is limited to first 75, there will be a waitig list. 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Metal Health First Aid USA The Metal Health First Aid program will provide urses with kowledge to equip commuity residets to help persos with metal illess coect to care. This oe-day semiar will itroduce urse participats to risk factors ad warig sigs of metal health problems, provide a uderstadig of the impact of metal health problems o the commuity ad provide a overview of commo treatmets. Objectives: The urse participats will be able to: idetify the potetial risk factors ad warig sigs for a rage of metal health problems gai a uderstadig of the prevalece of metal health disorders i the US ad the eed for reduced stigma relatig to metal health disorders provide a 5-step pla to itervee ad coect the idividual i crisis with appropriate professioal care idetify commuity based resources to help the idividual with a metal health problem. THURSDAY, AUGUST 7 8:00 am - 5:00 pm VITAS ELNEC Critical Care Curriculum (part 2) 7:30 am - 4:30 pm Youth Metal Health First Aid USA Metal Health First Aid USA is proud to aouce a ew curriculum focused o helpig youth (ages 12-18) who may be experiecig a metal health challege or i a crisis. Youth Metal Health First Aid is a public educatio program which itroduces participats to the uique risk factors ad warig sigs of metal health problems i adolescets, builds uderstadig of the importace of early itervetio, ad most importatly teaches idividuals how to help a youth i crisis or experiecig a metal health or substace use challege. Metal Health First Aid uses role-playig ad simulatios to demostrate how to assess a metal health crisis; select itervetios ad provide iitial help; ad coect youg people to professioal, peer, social, ad self-help care. Metal Health First Aid USA worked with experts at the Natioal Techical Assistace Ceter for Childre s Metal Health at the Georgetow Uiversity Ceter for Child ad Huma Developmet to adapt the Australia youth maual for US audieces. Metal Health First Aid USA is grateful for the support from the Child, Adolescet ad Family Brach at the Ceter for Metal Health Services of the Substace Abuse ad Metal Health Services Admiistratio of the US Departmet of Health ad Huma Services i the developmet of the youth maual.
