Both programs are short-term and provide acute care. The position includes the opportunity to teach psychiatric residents and medical students. Ability to facilitate or co-facilitate groups of mental health and substance abuse patients is required Salary: negotiable Start Date: ASAP Openings: 2 part time Qualifications: Must have 1-2 years previous experience working on an inpatient unit with adolescents and adults with mental health and substance abuse diagnoses is preferred. Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to college degree in Human Services field. Location: Brookline, MA Additional Information: Current available positions are part-time at least 24 hours per week, including rotating every other weekend. 5 Title: Senior Mental Health Counselor II Description: This is an opportunity for a current Mental Health Counselor on Emerson II. The Senior MHC must be able to lead therapeutic groups and serve as a role model to coworkers as well as assist the nurse manager with milieu management. Senior MHC performs crisis intervention, documents patient progress and assists with scheduling. Openings: 1 Qualifications: Two years of experience working with adults in substance use and mental health treatment and at least 2 years of experience in a psychiatric/substance use inpatient program. Preferred candidates will have a bachelor or masters degree in a human services field. Additional Information: The Senior MHC must be able to work day and evening rotations including rotating every other weekend. Serves as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and provides guidance to the LPN, Psychiatric Technician, Milieu Therapists, and Mental Health Counselors. Must be experienced working in an inpatient setting with adults and/or adolescents with psychiatric or substance use issues. Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, licensed as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and CPR certified. A BSN is preferred. Salary: negotiable Start Date: ASAP Openings: 3 part time Qualifications: MUST be experienced in working with adults or adolescents with psychiatric or substance abuse issues in an inpatient environment. Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, licensed as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and CPR certified.
