As an expectant mother, one of the most important decisions you ll make is where to deliver your baby. It s about finding a hospital that has the resources and technology you expect. It s also about connecting with people who make you feel comfortable. Dupont Hospital s experienced professionals are committed to caring for you, your baby and the whole family. Visit us online, then in person, to see for yourself.
At Dupont, we re dedicated to enhancing every part of your journey into parenthood. From our popular childbirth classes and online resources to delivery, postpartum and breastfeeding support, we care for you every step of the way. We re here for you.
Meet your Welcome Baby! consultant Our Welcome Baby! program provides consultation to expecting families, beginning in the earliest stages of pregnancy. We offer practical information that empowers you to make the best decisions for you and your family. Take a Birthplace tour We want you to look forward to your childbirth experience and feel comfortable with your delivery. That s why we include a tour of the Birthplace as part of our childbirth preparation classes. Want a personal tour prior to the class? Just call (260) or schedule online at Preregister for your hospital stay There s a lot to do to prepare for baby s arrival, so why not check hospital registration off the list as soon as possible? Expectant moms can begin preregistration by: Visiting TheDupontDifference.com/Prereg and downloading the form Calling (260) to register over the phone Requesting a mail-in form at (260) Picking up a form during the Birthplace tour
Free classes and support groups Dupont Hospital offers a variety of family centered classes to help you prepare for childbirth and parenthood. We even offer The Sibling Great Adventure for older brothers and sisters. After baby is born, valuable support groups can help you adjust to motherhood by giving you a chance to ask questions, compare notes and swap stories with other new moms. Visit TheDupontDifference.com for additional information about classes and support groups.
Surrounded by technology, pampered in luxury it s all part of the Dupont Difference. The moment you arrive at the Birthplace s private entrance, we re here to take care of your every need. From valet parking to a private elevator, daily rounding to car seat checks, our atmosphere, staff and attention to details make you feel like the most imporant person in the world. After all, this is your moment. Enjoy hotel-style amenities We ll help you relax with around-the-clock room service, in-room movies, a spacious shower, a post-delivery celebration meal and even a sleeper sofa for an overnight guest. Delicious, made-to-order entrées and snacks are available 24/7.
Get to know your little one Dupont is proud to offer Welcome Baby Softly. It provides you and your new family with an hour of quiet time immediately following delivery so you can bond, nurse and softly celebrate with your little bundle of joy. Baby is welcome to stay in the room with mom 24/7 or visit the nursery if mom needs a little time to herself. The nursery is staffed by specially trained nurses who care solely for Dupont s newest patients. Catch up on much-needed rest Rest is a precious commodity for a new mom. Dupont s Birthplace has daily naptime from 2 to 4 p.m. During this time, the lights are dimmed and quiet is encouraged to help you regain your strength and feel your best before going home.
The region s only OB physician program with on-site coverage 24/7 Dupont Hospital has a one-of-a-kind program called OB Stat that ensures an obstetrician is in the hospital to respond to emergent needs every minute of every day. OB Stat is part of our commitment to being the birthplace of choice for parents everywhere. Our private NICU rooms Our Level III NICU team cares for babies who couldn t wait to see the world or who need a little extra help getting started on their new journey. Specialists and NICU nurses use the latest technology and developmental care techniques to nurture premature newborns and critical infants in a private, soothing environment. Rest easy.
Welcome home, mom.
Depend on dedicated lactation consultants Breastfeeding provides a unique bonding experience for you and baby. It also decreases baby s risk of illness and your risk of osteoporosis and diabetes. Dupont s board-certified lactation consultants are here to enhance your experience by providing guidance new moms may need. Capture the moment of a lifetime Preserve your newborn s image in a way that is as unique as your infant. In partnership with a professional photographer, we offer the opportunity to capture special memories of your little one before you leave the hospital. To see portrait samples, visit TheDupontDifference.com/Portraits.
