2 Diploma in Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition or Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized training institute Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institute; and Registered by the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI) PLANT OPERATOR 11 JG E 8 POSTS - (Permanent) Operating heavy plants of difficult rating B (one of which must be Motor Graders) Keeping monthly records of the plants Preparing monthly and weekly service schedules and ensuring that they are adhered to Guiding turn-boys and machines assistants Repairing minor defects on machines Liaising with officers in-charge for major repairs Ensuring cleanliness of the plant Assisting in training junior plant operations Possess a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean Grade D Plain or equivalent from a recognized institution Served in the grade of plants operator 111 for a minimum period of three (3) years Passed occupational Trade Test 111 for Plant Operations A valid driving license (special class) Ability to operate at least two (2) machines of difficult rating B (one of which is Motor Grader) Attended a Fist-Aid Course lasing not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance of Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institute Certificate of Good Conduct KENYA REGISTERED COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSES JG H 30 POSTS (Permanent) Promotes patients independence by establishing patients care goals Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Projects patients and employees by adhering to infection- control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations Documents patients care services by charting in patients and department records Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keepinginformation confidential

6 Work at his level involves management of health Records and Information services in a large health institution comparable to a health institution. More specifically the duties will include the following Duties and Responsibilities: Reception, registration and scheduling of outpatient and in- patients Maintenances of patients master index Preparing appointments of consultants special departments Initiation of patients health records Patient s admission documentation and other related procedures Storage and retrieval of health records, x-ray films, pathological and radiological records Coding and indexing of diseases and surgical procedures according to the international classification of procedures in medicine ( surgical classification) Performing ward wealth record duties For appointment to the grade of Health Records and Information Technician 111, candidates must: Be in possession of at least the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with aggregate C- or its equivalent Have successfully completed 2 years Pre-Service/In-service training in a medical training institution and have been awarded the Health Records and Information Technician Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology. Computer literacy a must 2 years experience Satisfy chapter six of the constitution HEALTH RECORDS AND INFORMATION OFFICER 111 JG H 2 POSTS (Permanent) Headship of section in Health Records and Information Department i.e. control of reception, Registration and appointment procedures and being responsible for the supervision of staff in the section OR Administer, editing and other discharge procedures Maintenance of bed Bureau and waiting list procedures of patients Supervision of storage and retrieval of health records Coordinating the collection of medical statistics from the various sections of the department Supervision of coding and indexing of diseases and surgical operations in accordance with International Classification of Diseases and International Classification of procedures in Medicine. Maintenance of patients master index, diagnostic index, surgical operation index and other health records indices

For appointment of this grade candidates must be in possession of a Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology from Kenya Medical Training College or other recognized medical training institutions. Minimum education KCSE C- and above At least 2 years experience Satisfy chapter six of the constitution MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST JG H 9 POSTS - (Permanent) Discharge of laboratory investigative services to patients/clients Planning and budgeting for laboratory commodities Compiling and submitting laboratory reports Any other responsibility that may be assigned by the supervisor Diploma in medical laboratory sciences from a recognized training institution At least two years working experience Registered by KMLTTB MUST be in possession of at least KCSE aggregate C- and above 2 years experience Satisfy chapter six of the constitution Computer literate. PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST 111 JG H 4 POSTS - (Permanent) The Pharmaceutical Technologists 111 will work under the guidance of Pharmacist Senior Pharmaceutical Technologists The specific duties will be to oversee service delivery in the following areas, among others; Dispensary and compounding medicine Verifying and maintaining information relating to medication issued to patients Ordering and recording of Pharmaceutical and other supplies Guiding and counseling Pharmaceutical technologist intern and; Supervision of other staff working under him/her Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

8 Be a Kenyan citizen Be a holder of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C and above or its equivalent Be a hold of a Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized medical institution Must be enrolled by Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya Proof of Membership to Kenya Pharmaceutical Association will be required Must possess CPD log book Be computer literate i.e. working knowledge with Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint, Ms Access Demonstrate understanding of an commitment to the national values and principles of Public Service Governance as espoused in Constitution of Kenya 2010, Articles 10 and years experience KCSE C- and above Satisfy requirement of chapter six PHYSIOTHERAPIST 111 JG. H 1 POST- (Permanent) Successful candidates will, on appointment, be expected to work under supervision of a Physiotherapist 1 or Senior Physiotherapist in level 4 or level 5 Hospital in TaitaTaveta County and will be responsible for the following duties; Provision of Physiotherapy treatment Assessment and rehabilitation of disabilities Any other duty as may be assigned by his/her supervisor Candidates who qualify for appointment must possess the following qualifications; Must be Kenyan Citizen Must have a Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution in Kenya Be possession of minimum aggregate C- and above in KCSE 2 years experience Computer literate Requirements of chapter six of the constitution CLINICAL OFFICERS JG H 9 POSTS- (Permanent)

9 Clinical Management of patients (Promotive, preventive and curative) and mentorship Management of rural health facility Diploma in clinical medicine and surgery or BSc in clinical medicine and Surgery/Community Health Must be registered and licensed with the clinical officers council Evidence of continuous medical education (CME) is essential 2 years experience KCSE C- and above Satisfy chapter six of the constitution Computer literate CLINICAL OFFICERS ANAESTHETISTS JG L 4 POSTS - (Permanent) Administering of Anaesthesia in any of the hospitals in the county Clinical Management of patients, including critical ill patients Be a Kenyan Citizen Be a holder of Diploma in clinical medical and surgery and a Higher Diploma in Anaesthesia from a recognized training institute Have a valid registration with the Clinical Officers Council Have a valid practice license. Minimum experience 1 year post graduate KCSE C- and above Computer literate Satisfy requirements of chapter six of the constitution PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICERS JG H 2 POSTS - (Permanent) Carry out sanitation activities, including implementation of Community Led Total Sanitation Implementation of community strategy, among others Diseases surveillance and prevention Health promotion among duties Be a Kenyan Citizen

10 Diploma in Public Health and or Epidemiology from a recognized training institution Higher Diploma will be an added advantage Be registered with the relevant regulatory body Have capacity to undertake multitasks within strict timelines 2 years experience Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution Computer literacy KCSE C- and above OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST JG H 1 POST - (Permanent) Attending to patients Provisions of Rehabilitative treatments, among other duties Be a Kenyan Citizen Diploma in Occupational Therapy from recognized institute Registered with relevant body Minimum KCSE C- and above 2 years experience Computer literate Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution MORTUARY ATTENDANTS JG E 1 POST- (Permanent) Carry out duties in the mortuary, including preservation of bodies Embalming of bodies Assisting in postmortems Relevant training from a recognized institute Training in embalming will be added advantage Minimum experience 2years Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution ASSISTANT DIRECTOR SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT JG P 1 POST- (Three (3) years Renewable Contract) Duties and Responsibilities

11 Deputize, the director, supply chain management Implement county annual procurement plan Provide guidance on supply chain management data from departments Implement and interpret policies on supply chain management data from departments Implement all public procurement legislation Implement e government procurement strategies County Government asset management Implement inventory management information system Any other duties as assigned Requirements for Appointment Must have a Bachelor of Commerce degree or its equivalent from a university recognized in Kenya and a Diploma in Supply Chain Management from an institution recognized in Kenya Good communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in computer applications Registered with Kenya Institute of Supplies Management Membership of Chartered Institute of Supplies Management is added advantage Have served in Job Group N in Public service or in a comparable position in the private sector for a minimum period of three (3) years. Certificate in Senior Management course lasting for not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution. Those already working in the County are encouraged to apply SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT OFFICER JG K 12 POSTS (Three (3) years Renewable Contract) Duties and Responsibilities Planning and coordination of Supplies Management Enforcement of Government procurement regulations, systems and procedures Preparation of supplies estimates and vote control Preparation of the procurement plan for a financial year Initiation of policy, review and updating of existing regulations, supplies management and planning Ensuring supply of quality goods and services Monitoring market trends Managing supplies effectively Making recommendations for disposal of idle and obsolete stores Supervision of stores staff Requirements for Appointment Bachelor degree in purchasing and supplies from a recognized university or any Business degree with a post graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies management Results driven and a team player Must be computer literate High degree of integrity and honesty Demonstrate knowledge and experience in Public Procurement

12 Demonstrate good communication and analytical skills Computer literate in packages used in Supply Chain Management Have a thorough understanding of the Public Procurement and disposal Act 2005 and its regulations. Membership of Chartered Institute of Supplies Management is an added advantage Those working in the county are encouraged to apply. COUNTY DIRECTOR OF LEGAL SERVICES JG R- (Three (3) years renewable contract) The County Director of Legal Services will be responsible to the County Secretary Duties and Responsibilities Providing legal services to the county government Representing the county in legal and civil matters as need arises Keeping abreast of legal and policy developments Development of appropriate County Legislative bills, and amendments where appropriate Undertaking strategic planning on priority areas that require law reform Providing legal interpretation of the constitution, National and County Legislatives Acts. Undertaking legal and legislative research among other legal and civil duties as may be assigned.
