1 CALL FOR PAPERS Nº1, MARCH 5 th, 2017 The Scientific Committee of the I International Nursing Congress, promoted by Universidade Tiradentes (UNIT), announces the Call For Papers Nº. 01, which sets the norms for the selection of scientific papers to be presented at the event from May 9th to 12th, 2017, held at Universidade Tiradentes - UNIT, Aracaju-SE, Brazil. 1. SUBMISSION 1.1 For paper submission, authors must fill out the Registration form, found in the paper submission link, in the site of the event and attach the abstract and the declaration of authorship (APPENDIX I). The abstract must follow the format guideline described in item 2. Non-compliance either with the format guidelines or with the rules of this document will result in the paper refusal. 1.2 Paper submissions open on April 5th, 2017 and close at 6:00pm, on April 23rd, Abstracts may be submitted prior to payment of the registration fee at the congress. However, after its acceptance, both the author(s) and advisor(s) of the work must pay the registration fee no later than two (02) business days after publication of the list of approved papers, and attach the voucher in the submission area in the event website. Failure to registration payment will result in the non-submission of the paper, which automatically excludes it from the annals of the congress. 1.4 The approved papers may be presented by any one of the authors, provided that he or she has previously been identified as the rapporteur of the paper at the time of submitting abstracts and that the payment of the registration fee has been made. 1.5 First author (main author) may submit up to two (02) abstracts to the event. There are no work limits per supervisor. Each abstract should be submitted only once. All authors must be aware of the submission of the abstract for presentation at the event and all of them must have signed the declaration of authorship (APPENDIX I) to be attached at the time of submission of the
2 manuscript. It is the sole responsibility of the authors to adopt the provisions regarding special authorizations of ethical issues. 1.6 Papers should consist of a maximum of five (05) authors (including the advisor). 1.7 The order of author s names will be the same as that issued on the certificate. Recommended order is: first author (reporter), coauthors and advisor. 1.8 Papers can be submitted as an extended abstract. The extended abstract should have in the minimum 03 and in the maximum 05 pages, including title, author names, institution, category, subject area, presentation modality, , keywords and bibliographic references at the end of the abstract. 1.9 It is highly recommended grammar, spelling and typing revision before submitting the abstract After publication of the final list of approved papers, you will not be able to modify your proposal. It will also be prohibited adding or removing names of authors from the work. 2. GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT PRESENTATION 2.1. The abstract must align to one of the following lines of research: Assistance Line 01 - Models and impacts of nursing care in the population's health conditions. Research highlights: Development and evaluation of policies and models of nursing care in hospital care services. Assistance Line 02 - Models and impacts of nursing care in the population's health conditions. Research highlights: Impact of outpatient nursing care, home care and the Family Health Strategy on the health conditions of the population. Assistance Line 03 - Models and impacts of nursing care in the health conditions of the population. Research highlights: Advanced nursing care practices aimed at the four human groups: child, adolescent, adult (male and female) and elderly. Management Line 01 - Public policies and management of health services. Underline research: Management and organization of the nursing care production system. Management Line 02 - Public policies and management of health services. Underline research: Management and organization of the work process in health and nursing. Educational Line 01 - Development and evaluation of technologies and innovation for nursing training and practice. Underline research: Development and evaluation of technologies and innovation for nursing care. Educational Line 02 - Development and evaluation of technologies and innovation for nursing
3 training and practice. Research highlights: Development of production processes and information systems for health goods and services Abstracts can be presented in two (02) modalities: Poster (printed banner) and Oral Communication (presentation on slides in "Formats *.PPT, *.PPTX) 2.3. The Scientific Committee can alter the presentation modality at the discretion of the reviewers Three (03) types of abstracts may be submitted: a) Experience reports; B) Original works; C) Review work Extended abstract - The abstract should be constructed according to the guidelines below: Full title of the work; Authors: First author (rapporteur) (1); Co-authors (maximum 4, including the advisor); The names entered must be complete (without abbreviations). It should be mentioned the expertise and / or academic situation, teaching institution / entity / company, followed by electronic of all authors. If you do not have an institutional link, skip filling Summary text: It should be written in Portuguese or English, concise, without indentation or quotes. The expanded abstract should have at least 03 and at most 05 pages, including title, author names, institution, category, subject area, presentation modality, , keywords and bibliographic references at the end of the abstract For Experience Reports, the abstract should be written following the items: Introduction, Objective, Methods, Results, Final Considerations. Descriptors (maximum three). References (minimum four, maximum five) For Original Works, the abstract should be written following the items: Introduction, Objective, Methods, Results and Discussions, Final Considerations Descriptors (minimum three, maximum five). References (minimum four, maximum five).
4 General guidelines: Introduction: overview of the subject by indicating the relevance of the research. Objective: definition of the objectives of the work; Methodology: how the work was carried out (procedures / strategies / subjects / participants / documents / equipment / environments / etc.); Results / Discussion: the obtained results; If applicable, reference to applied statistical measures and calculations; Conclusion: should be based on the data presented in the item results, referring to the objectives achieved; The descriptors must be selected according to the Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS), at The bibliographical references consulted should be cited below the descriptors, in the ABNT or Vancouver format. Non-compliance to the required guidelines the work will be rejected Graphics, tables and images must not be included in the abstract; however, they may be used on posters or slides for presentation at the event Funding or supportive agencies, if any, should not be mentioned in the abstract; however, they can be mentioned at the time of presentation of the work The quality of the text (grammar, spelling and typing) and the information contained in the abstract are the sole responsibility of the author The summary should have the following characteristics: a) PDF format; b) Arial Norrow font, size 12; c) Spacing 1,5 between rows; d) Page size A4; e) Top margin = 3 cm; f) Lower margin = 2 cm; g) Right and left margins = 3 cm;
5 3. SELECTION I INTERNATIONAL NURSING CONGRESS 3.1. The works that do not comply with the norms established in this document will be disqualified The scientific committee of the event will be responsible for evaluating the works, according to the following criteria: Title: adequacy to the content of the work Introduction: Quality and appropriateness to the objective of the work Objective: Clarity, relevance and achievement Methods: Delimitation and appropriateness to the study Results and Discussion / Critical Analysis: Clarity, consistency, data analysis and achievement of objectives, as well as the basis of relevant and current scientific evidence Conclusion: Coherence and attendance to the proposed objectives and results Originality of the work Relevance: Innovation and contribution to the area of knowledge Writing quality: Spelling and grammar Organization of the text: Clarity and objectivity. 3.3 Authors/co-authors will be notified of final result of work submission via communication: a) Accepted: approved and suitable for presentation during the event. b) Rejected: not accepted for presentation during the event Authors / co-authors who need to make adjustments / corrections to the works will receive with the appropriate guidelines The approved papers will be published through the official website of the congress, with the date, time and place of presentation, and all abstracts that are duly presented will be published in the proceedings of the event. 4. PRESENTATIONS 4.1. POSTER The time and place of the exhibition and presentation will be informed after the publication of the approved works.
6 The presenter of the poster must be one of the authors and be registered in the congress The presenter must be at the place of presentation at least 30 minutes before the scheduled presentation time Posting and removal of the posters will be the responsibility of the presenters of the work under the orientation and according to the schedules authorized by the organizers of the event. The organizing committee is not responsible for damages, loss, disappearance or any other unforeseen events that may occur with posters or other materials The presenter will have a maximum of five (05) minutes to present his work, which will be evaluated by a professor designated by the scientific committee, and there will be no multimedia equipment for this activity The production of the posters is the author s responsibility. They should be in rectangular form 90cm wide by 120cm high, legible letters, in material, and colors and styles in accordance to author s preferences The title should be exactly the same as that used in the abstract and should be written in capital letters. Below the title and with smaller letters should come the names of the authors, the institutions involved, the city and the state The body of the work should contain the same topics used in the submission process ORAL COMMUNICATION The presenter of the work must be one of the authors and be registered in the event The presenter must be at the place of presentation at least 30 minutes before the session at which the presentation will take place begins. You must subscribe to the frequency and hand in the material in a USB storage device The presentation should be in the form of a digital slide show, extension file *.PPT, *.PPTX extension file - Other formats will be accepted as long as the presenter is responsible for the
7 presentation. Font size 28 to 38, Arial Narrow; Double space; Maximum of seven lines of text and eight words per line in each slide. You can use animations and colors, but avoid excessive use of these resources for presentation The first slide should contain the title, full name of the authors, as well as institutions involved, city and state The presentation of the works approved in the oral category will be carried out in the form of an oral presentation lasting a maximum of 08 minutes, added 2 minutes for any questions and will be evaluated by an evaluation committee. Therefore, each work will have a maximum presentation time (defense + argument) of 10 minutes. 5. JUDGEMENT 5.1. The judgment of the presentation is entirely the responsibility of the Scientific Committee, according to the following criteria: Posture during presentation Objectivity and mastery in the presentation of results Proper use of time Oral expression ability Organization of content Written summary report with oral presentation Formatting and aesthetic quality General Charts Proper language Theoretical and practical knowledge The judgment will be made in standardized records, with scores for each of the evaluation items Under no circumstances will the specific scores obtained by the works at the time of selection or presentation be revealed, nor will their evaluators be identified. 6. THE CERTIFICATION 6.1. The certificates of all the papers presented at the congress will be available on the event website In the absence of presentation of the work to the evaluator, the certificate of presentation will
8 NOT be issued and the work will not be included in the annals of the congress. 7. AWARDS 7.1. The five best works in each category will be announced at the closing ceremony of the event will be awarded and certificated with honorable mention, proving the respective placement, and will be published on the Graduation Book.
