5 Emergency Response If you are involved in an emergency, press and hold the SOS button for 5 seconds and TrackerActive s light will flash green. Our 24-hour National Emergency Centre will attempt to contact you on your specified mobile number. Ranger Assist If you are unreachable, a Ranger Assist team will be dispatched to your precise location. Upon arrival, our rangers will determine the course of action to follow. Telephonic Nurse If we are able to contact you to establish the nature of your emergency, our nurses will take you through a number of questions telephonically, to establish the severity of the problem and provide you with simple remedies to help you manage the situation. Should the emergency require urgent medical attention, the nurse will arrange for a Ranger Assist team to be dispatched to your location. The nurses will follow up with you to ensure that the situation is under control and that you do not require further assistance. Emergency Transport If you are cycling and are unable to continue because you are injured or your bike is damaged, a vehicle will transport your bike to safety. If you are uninjured, we will transport you to your home or other destination within a 50 km radius.

7 Medical Emergency In medical emergencies, we will evaluate the situation and arrange emergency transportation, either by air or road ambulance. The costs of emergency transportation can either be settled by your medical aid or, if you do not have medical insurance, by you personally. You will be transported to the nearest private hospital should you have provided us with your then current medical aid details, or a public hospital in the event that you have not. We will inform your medical aid of the incident and submit the emergency transport claim to them on your behalf. Our trained operators will provide constant monitoring of the incident until we are sure that you have arrived at the hospital. Loved One Notification If you have initiated an SOS, we will notify your next of kin. We will provide contact and address details should you be receiving treatment at a medical facility. Trauma Counselling Our nursing staff are also qualified trauma counsellors and are available to you for support by phone both during and after an incident. If the treating nurse determines that you would benefit from face-to-face counselling, they will refer you to a professional counsellor.

10 Smartphone App To register a user profile and activate your new TrackerActive device, you will need the free TrackerActive smartphone app. Simply search for TrackerActive on the relevant app store and download the app to your ios or Android smartphone. Your loved ones can also download the app to their smartphones for free and follow you on your adventures with real time GPS location mapping. A follower does not require their own device. The app is dedicated to TrackerActive, so the functionality is intuitive and streamlined. Device Setup Once you have downloaded the TrackerActive app, you will be able to set up and activate your new TrackerActive device via your smartphone. You can activate a user profile with Tracker via the app and register your device to your profile.

12 Dashboard On your dashboard, you will see the location and status of your own device and any that you are following. Your friends and loved ones will be able to monitor your trip and track your location, as well as the health of your device, via the dashboard on their apps. You can even make a voice call to the person you are tracking, directly from the app dashboard. Followers The smartphone app allows your loved ones and friends to follow you. You can also follow friends and acquaintances on their adventures or while you are enjoying activities as a group. Because your privacy is essential for your safety, you can personally manage invitations from potential followers. You can review invitations, accept or reject them and even block a user from sending repeated requests. My Details You can review and update your personal details, emergency contacts and medical information to ensure that our information about you is always current in case of emergency.

13 My Device You can see the status and details of your TrackerActive device. You can also test your device via the app to make sure that it is transmitting its location correctly. Support You can find help about the app within the support menu or call our control centre directly for voice support. You can carry TrackerActive in a pouch or attach it to your waistband with the sturdy clip included, so it is always at your side.

15 Emergency Alerts In emergencies, sometimes the best person to help you is the person closest to you. This is why TrackerActive makes emergency alerts known to your followers via the app. Emergencies could include: bike jacking, being hit by a car, a bad fall, venomous bite or getting lost on a trail. Once you have initiated an SOS on your device, the TrackerActive app will keep the status of your emergency current for all to view. A follower can see if your emergency has been resolved, find your location and even play back your route to your current location so that they can easily find their way to you. Should they want to contact you directly to check on you but not have your number handy, they can make a voice call to your phone from the app dashboard.
