2 Challenges from the Institute of Medicine i Explores the issues of quality in health care and recommends the use of patient information systems and technology. One of the recommendations led to establishment of our SEEDS program. All health professional should be educated to deliver patient-centered care as member of an interdisciplinary team, emphasizing evidence-based practice, quality improvement approaches, and informatics. Led to QSEN Competencies

4 SEEDS: Imagine a School Where Faculty Collaborate on teaching students patient-centered care, quality, interprofessional teamwork, patient safety, informatics, and evidence-based practice QSEN competencies Co-develop teaching/learning strategies, share standardized documentation, and demonstrate Meaningful Use of electronic health records (EHR) fulfilling the vision of ARRA. This occurs every day at the University it of Kansas
