1 YEAR 11 RETREAT IN NEW NORCIA WEDNESDAY, 3 MAY FRIDAY, 5 MAY 2017 (INCLUSIVE) Dear Year 11 Parents/Guardians This year we will be running a three day Year 11 Retreat in New Norcia. The theme of the retreat is Making a Difference (within yourself, to the St Brigid s Community and to the world). The students will have the opportunity to reflect upon what this means to them, and the Retreat will include visits from various guest speakers as well as sessions run by the staff. The Retreat also has a curriculum element with some of the tours the students undertake relating directly to their Religion and Life Course and forming part of an assessment. The specific details of the Camp are as follows: Time: Leave SBC: 8:20am, Wednesday, 3 May 2017 Return to SBC: 2:15pm (approx.), Friday, 5 May 2017 Transport: Cost: Venue: Dress: Lesmurdie Bus Service Included in College fees New Norcia As the students will be visiting the Monastery and other sacred sites in the township of New Norcia, their dress must be conservative at all times. This means they need to wear tops that have sleeves, and if they are wearing shorts, they need to go to their knees.
