ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Those aspiring to become Maryville nurses must meet these basic admission requirements. MSN Post- MSN NP Certificate DNP DNP-NP BSN to DNP BSN degree from a regionally accredited institution and ACEN/CCNE-accredited program MS or MSN degree from a regionally accredited institution and ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale in all college work Minimum of a 3.25 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale in all college work Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in the United States Current board certification as an advanced practice nurse Three letters of recommendation: Minimum of one academic and one clinical Copy of curriculum vitae or resume 500-word essay describing your interest in becoming a nurse practitioner and how you plan to use your education to affect patient outcomes Three-page essay, double spaced: Describe 3 experiences that have prepared you for doctoral study; one from previous graduate work, one from practice, and one that reflects your strengths. Additionally, describe a problem within your practice that would lend itself to a scholarly project and include academic literature to support the project.
