2 Accelerated (Transcel) Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN ABOUT THE PROGRAM Transcel Program The Nursing Program at Stockton is grounded in the Roy (2016) Adaptation Model. Sr. Callista Roy considers the goal of nursing as promoting adaptation and provided the stimulus to develop a framework that looks at people and groups as having abilities to deal with changes in the environment. However, with the help of nurses who understand people and their environments their adaptations can move effectively toward health ( 2016). Benefits of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program: Small Classes Talented faculty-our faculty are dedicated to teaching, scholarship, and the preparation of students for careers in Professional Nursing. History of Success-We have a consistently strong record of preparing students for the NCLEX exam and placing graduates in nursing positions. The five year pass rate has averaged 90%. Our graduates are employed in Nursing within one year of program completion. Facilities-Stockton features fully equipped labs, an on-campus magnet certified medical center and rehabilitation center useful for clinical experiences, and electronic classrooms all to enrich the educational experience. 4 Accelerated (Transcel) Bachelor of Science in NURSING Stockton University Transcel Nursing Program Admissions Process Required Prerequisite Courses: All applicants must have earned credits in the following courses: English I & II Intro to Psych Life Span Development Statistics Nutrition Chemistry I - Inorganic Chemistry II - Organic Microbiology Anatomy & Physiology I & II Ethics (waived for Stockton graduates with a Health Science degree) Pathophysiology** Please note that Pathophysiology will be a pre requisite course for applicants for the 2018 cohort and thereafter. A GPA of 3.5 and no less than a C in all required science courses taken at Stockton are desired for admission. Required science courses taken at schools other than Stockton should be a grade of B or higher. All transcripts will be evaluated on an individual basis. All applicants must pass a criminal background check and drug screen prior to enrollment. Students must also successfully complete a criminal background check in order to be licensed as an RN in the State of New Jersey. In addition, students must meet Technical Standards and Functions outlined by the Program.

Students with earned baccalaureate degrees An applicant who has an earned a baccalaureate degree from another college or university is considered a transfer applicant and will complete the Transfer

5 Students with earned baccalaureate degrees An applicant who has an earned a baccalaureate degree from another college or university is considered a transfer applicant and will complete the Transfer Application available from the Stockton University Admissions webpage and follow the instructions to complete and submit the common application. Transfer applicants must submit an official transcript from EACH institution attended even if only completing one course. Applicants with a previously earned baccalaureate degree from Stockton University will also complete the Transfer Application form as the application for admission. Official transcripts are not required unless the applicant has attended schools in addition to Stockton. Students transferring without earned baccalaureate degrees Stockton students who do not have the minimum required baccalaureate degree, have earned 64 or more college credits, and have all other prerequisite and undergraduate requirements completed as in General Studies, At Some Distance, and W and Q courses may apply as an Internal Transfer. Current Stockton students in their eighth semester and anticipating graduation will also complete an Internal Transfer Application. Students transferring to Stockton who do not have the minimum required baccalaureate degree will complete a Transfer Application available from the Stockton University Admissions webpage and will apply to enroll in Stockton s Health Science (BSHS) program first. Students in this situation have or will earn at least 64 college credits and all other prerequisite and undergraduate requirements, and then may apply as an Internal Transfer to the accelerated program. The Internal Transfer application is available from the School of Health Sciences Accelerated Nursing Program Webpage. Submit a completed Internal Transfer Application to the attention of the Nursing Program Coordinator in the School of Health Sciences, WQ 110. Applications for the Accelerated (Transcel) Program will be accepted until July 1.
