3 Green Valley Hospital Overview 49 bed general acute care hospital. 43 beds for medical surgical patients and 6 beds are for intensive care patients. All private rooms. 4 operating rooms,13 pre/post surgical beds. The emergency room is staffed by physicians and nurses and has 12 exam rooms. Full service laboratory for inpatient and outpatient testing.

4 Green Valley Hospital Overview (cont.) The diagnostic imaging department includes an MRI and a CAT scan unit. The department treats inpatients and out patients. Operates a cardiac catheterization lab. The medical office buildings are leased to various medical groups that see patients on a scheduled basis and their location next to the hospital for added convenient for patients to have their laboratory or diagnostic imaging work performed in a timely manner. We can accommodate most patients same day.

5 GVH Hospital Initiatives Physician recruitment is ongoing. Urogynecologist from Banner UMC is on staff performing outpatient surgeries. In process of recruiting a pain management specialist open clinic on campus. An application has been submitted to CMS for swing bed designation. This will allow greater utilization of our existing facilities and patients can receive post-acute care closer to home. GVH is in discussions to develop a chronic dialysis center and a wound care center in the existing medical office buildings. The chronic dialysis center would also bring a large nephrology group to the campus.

6 GVH Hospital Initiatives (cont.) Filed appeal with AHCCCS challenging the Medicaid discharge assessment. This appeal has been denied and we are currently assessing next steps. Signed a collaboration agreement with Banner University Medical Center for neurology coverage. Tucson Orthopedic Institute opened its clinic on May 15 Humana members have access as of June 1 The US Department Health & Human Services conducted its annual accreditation survey; no major findings.

7 GVH Chapter 11 Update Debtor in Possession (DIP) loan of $20 million has been approved and funded. Payment of critical vendors has been approved by the court. Critical vendors include physician groups, equipment manufactures and supply companies. This allows the hospital to continue to provide services to patients. GVH is making payments to physician groups and vendors on a timely basis. Plan of reorganization is being developed and permanent financing vehicles are being looked at. Objective is to withdraw from Chapter 11 status by the end of September. The court appointed ombudsman conducted a three day survey and has issued her report to the court. There weren't any significant findings.
