2 We re proud of our history of serving the health care needs of the residents of McKinney and surrounding areas for more than 80 years. Change and innovation have marked our commitment to the community. We ve expanded our facilities, remodeled existing patient care areas, recruited top-notch physicians and added sophisticated medical and surgical services to meet the dynamic changes that are taking place in McKinney.
3 Did you know that Medical Center of McKinney offers: Full-service 24/7 Emergency Department Outpatient services including ambulatory surgery, women s imaging services, general imaging services (64-slice CT, MRI, nuclear imaging, etc.) sleep lab and rehabilitation therapies Cardiovascular services including cardiac catheterization and interventional lab, open heart surgery and vascular surgery Orthopedic services including total and partial joint replacement program and sports medicine services Neurosciences including neurosurgery, stroke care, pain management, Parkinson s and Alzheimer s care Labor and delivery suites, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and maternal fetal medicine

We recognize each individual s right to the assessment, evaluation and management of pain.
6 Dress Code All students are to wear the dress code required by their college/school handbook. Students are also required to follow the Medical Center of McKinney dress code. Clothing, hair styles and jewelry must conform to business and professional standards as outlined in the following guidelines.
7 Dress Code - Hair Hairstyles must be clean cut, of a naturally occurring hair color, well-groomed and professional looking and must be secured in such a manner as to avoid contact with the patient. Beards, mustaches and sideburns must be neatly trimmed. Personnel required to wear masks in order to perform their duties may be required to shave.
8 Dress Code - Jewerly Earrings must not extend further than ½ from the earlobe. No visible body piercing beyond the earlobe will be allowed, maximum two earrings per ear. No tongue piercings permitted. Excessive jewelry should not be worn around patients, in hazardous work areas or in sterile processing or storage areas. No more than 1 necklace < 20 long. No more than 2 rings per hand (wedding set considered 1 ring).
9 Dress Code - Tattoos Tattoos must be covered at all times. Management reserves the right to determine whether jewelry, piercings, tattoos, or apparel are excessive or offensive.
10 Dress Code Artificial fingernails, extenders, wraps, tips, etc. may not be worn. Natural nail tips may not extend more than ¼ inch past the tip of the finger, must demonstrate good nail hygiene and shall be maintained in a professional appearance.
11 Dress Code Perfume/Cologne Excessive perfume, cologne and/or scented lotions are not allowed due to sensitivity by patients and staff members.
12 ID Badges ID Badges: All students need to wear their school identification badge at all times. Identification name badges are worn above the waist with the identification facing forward at all times while on duty. Failure to have appropriate identification may result in the student being sent home from clinical.
13 CELL PHONES Cell phones are PROHIBITED Any student who has a cell phone out in patient care areas will be asked to leave the facility and they forfeit their clinical experience at MCM
