20 Lesson 4. SNS Coordinator HOSPITAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE DATA SYSTEM The hospitals will access and enter their Push Packet Asset data into HERDS. Hospitals HERDS The PODs will access and enter their Push Packet Asset data into HERDS 2. PODs Counties The counties will access HERDS 2 to view the hospital and POD Push Packet Request Forms as well as the Total Count Report. HERDS HERDS and HERDS 2 will communicate in the backend to extract the hospital data to be used to create the Total Count Report and to make the hospital Push Packet requests available for the county to see on HERDS 2. * The hospital, POD and Total Count Push Packet requests can be downloaded into excel to be faxed or ed. Surveillance System SNS The SNS mobilization site will access HERDS 2 to view the Total Report and the hospital/pod Push Packet requests for the mobilization site county. ECC The ECC will access HERDS 2 to view and approve the Total Report.
