3 How are we doing Survey!!! We want to know how we are doing! This week you will be (or have) receiving a brief survey about your personal experience living here at Faribault Senior Living. It is our ongoing goal that our community feels like home for each one of you. Please provide your feedback by May 12 th. There will be a box at Heather s front desk that will be out during regular business hours M-F, 8-4:30. These will be submitted anonymously, so do not write your name on them. In an effort to get as close to a 100% response as we can, however, we would like you to let Heather or Sarah know when you submit yours to the box to have a chance to spin the wheel at the front desk and win a prize! We really want feedback from everyone!! Thanks so much Message from Jan Walking Club On Tuesday s & Friday s we will begin our walks. We walk down the drive way and on the sidewalk in front of the building and then on the sidewalk along the side of the building. We do a leisurely stroll to just get the joints moving. Check the calendar for times and consider joining us. Many in our walking group do use their walkers. Flower Vases Please no more flower vase donations to Faribault Senior Living. We have an over abundance of them. Thank you

4 Laundry Room Hours Resident use everyday 6am-3pm Closed everyday 3pm-6am for staff to provide laundry Laundry Room Etiquette service. When using a machine please use your apartment room magnet We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged articles. Please check your pockets for any items that should not go in the wash. Use Caution if adding bleach please wipe any spills. Please do not overload machines as clothes will not be as clean and this can damage the motor. Be courteous and remove clothes promptly Wipe off the window of the washer after each cycle Please remember to clean the lint traps in the dryers after each use. Do not leave any personal items in the laundry room Garbage & Recycling Etiquette Only cardboard, glass and plastic (no Styrofoam!) Please do not put garbage in the recycling bins. Make sure garbage is bagged before putting down the chute.

5 Nursing As a reminder nurses are not available after hours for home visits. Registered Nurse is available M-F 8:30a-4:30p HHA are available 24/7 HHA s do have access to an on call RN for medical questions or concerns. *For emergencies please press your pendant* *New* Pendant Guide To use your pendant press it once until you feel the vibration. Press your pendant only once to activate. Pendant will continue to blink red, until staff have checked on you and cleared the pendant. Pendant will continue to alert staff until they arrive. Pendants are water resistant. When you leave the facility, please leave your pendant at home until you return. Pendants will not work once you ve left the facility. Pendants will only work on FSL grounds.

7 Please be respectful in the library where Jan s office space is. Items are being removed from her area. Remember office staff are not available on weekends to check phone messages. If you have an emergency please use your pendant. Please remember to be respectful in the dining room and as a reminder we do not have assigned seating. Please continue to put shopping carts in the first floor garbage room after your done using them. If you have not received your newspaper please check the front entrance of the building. If your newspaper was not delivered please call your local newspaper provider. If you are having issues with your cable please call your cable provider for assistance. If you plan on joining the bus trips please keep in mind we re going to a designated destination and we need to stay with the group. During these outings we are responsible for your safety. Please be respectful when smoking and only use the designated smoking area on the back patio. Please don t smoke in front of the dining room door. Please remember to always lock your apartment door for safety. If you have unwanted items that are disposable. please bring them to the trash room in the garage instead of placing them throughout the facility. Times and activities are subject to change. Please check the elevator or lounge for updates.
