The dietetics practitioner will report inappropriate behavior or treatment of a client by another dietetics practitioner or other professionals. 5 Documentation Reports should be specific in nature. The individual filing the report must have directly observed the action. All reports should include specific documentation: Name of individual who was impacted by the unsafe practice Name, qualifications and credentials of individual who provided the nutrition services Details of health status both before and after services provided 13 Member Impact & Advocacy For the public Upholds licensure statutes Enhances public health & safety Ensures access to quality health care For the profession Increased opportunities Increased professional recognition Right person for the job Fair marketplace 14 Everyone s Responsibility: Advocate for your profession!
