Anyone can nominate a nurse who has made a difference in their life or the life of a loved one during After collecting nominations, an independent panel of judges will choose 9 extraordinary nursing professionals to represent thousands of their colleagues at our inaugural Nursing Awards event. Additionally, there will be one people s choice winner. In celebration of National Nurses Week (May 6 May 12), on May 12, 2019, The Southern Illinoisan will publish a full color, tabloid special section that will feature the stories of the 10 winning nurses. An independent panel of judges will choose 9 extraordinary nursing professionals to represent thousands of their colleagues and additionally, there will be one people s choice winner as voted on by friends, family and staff. The top 10 nurses are awarded a prize and recognized as top caregivers in our community. Who has inspired you with their comfort, care and skill?
