Describe the role of the nursing assistant in restorative care b. Identify ways to promote a resident/patient/clients independence c.. Demonstrate the use of assistive devices and equipment in transferring and ambulation d. Demonstrate range of motion exercise for the resident/patient/client e. Assist the resident/patient/client with ambulation with and without a gait belt f. Procedure for Assisting the resident to Sit Up on the Side of the Bed g. Guidelines for Assisting Residents with Mobility using the Transfer Belt to Ambulate, Procedure for Moving the Resident to the Side of the bed h. Procedure for Turning the Resident on the Side Toward you with a lift sheet i. Procedure for assisting the Resident to Move to the Head of the bed with a lift sheet,transfer to the wheelchair and Transfer from the Bed to a Chair. Thanksgiving Holiday Elimination: Chapter 14 Demonstrate understanding of body systems while recognizing abnormal changes in body functions and reporting changes to supervisor. a.. Assist in maintaining fluid balance. b. Provide care for various types of urinary catheters. c. Collect specimens according to facility policy and procedure. d. Demonstrate understanding of body systems while recognizing abnormal changes in body functions and reporting changes to supervisor. g. Assist in maintaining fluid balance. h.
