1 Winter statistics: Ambulance A&E arrivals and delayed transfers Introduction NHS England is publishing weekly sitrep data for a number of key indicators of NHS performance. The data covers a number of items relating to ambulance and A&E performance, including numbers arriving at A&E departments by ambulance and delays in transfer of between 3 to 6 minutes and over 6 minutes. This means that we can track performance trends in the period since 2 November 217 and identify particular trends. The NHS Confederation is tracking this data and will publish updates for Ambulance trust members on a weekly basis. Summary The latest winter data published on 25 January 218, shows that there has been a noticeable reduction in the number of people arriving at A&E departments by ambulance and of those experiencing delays of 3-6 minutes or over 6 minutes during the period 15 January to 21 January: There were 91,968 arrivals at A&E departments over the course of the week, down slightly from the previous week s total of 93,351. Wednesday 17 January 218 saw the lowest number of arrivals (12,835) of any day across the whole nine weeks of the current winter reporting period to date.
