2 Resolve Through Sharing Bereavement Training: Perinatal Death September 5 6, 2018 Training focus This course focuses on death through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, and newborn death. Purpose The purpose of this training is to provide participants with a rich educational experience that enhances their knowledge, level of skill, and personal awareness while providing care to families whose baby dies. A baby dies... This comprehensive, evidence-based, and person-centered training and the RTS Model of bereavement care support the Triple Aim and ACO requirements for consistent delivery of quality patient care. You ll learn ways to incorporate RTS concepts into everyday practice that care teams and leadership will find invaluable. This course is recommended to prepare for the Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center s Perinatal Loss Care Certification Exam. 4 Resolve Through Sharing Coordinator Training (train-the-trainer) September 7, 2018 In this 1-day workshop you will learn how to provide in-services and teach RTS Bereavement Training: Perinatal Death, Neonatal and Pediatric Death, or Adult Death to staff within your healthcare system using Resolve Through Sharing resources. You will also learn the skills you need to establish and maintain an interprofessional, best-practice bereavement standard of care in your organization. Pre-requirement (mandatory) RTS Bereavement Training: Perinatal Death, Neonatal and Pediatric Death, or Adult Death Attendees are required to view a one-hour video and complete a short study guide. A link for accessing the video and study guide will be provided in your registration confirmation . Purpose The purpose of this workshop is to provide individuals trained in the concepts of RTS with knowledge and skills necessary to develop and implement a comprehensive RTS perinatal, neonatal and pediatric, and adult bereavement program. REGISTER at About the Faculty Education Credit full bios available at ResolveThroughSharing.org Elizabeth Ricci, RN, BSN, MS, IBCLC, CPLC Nurse Manager, Perinatal Testing Centers Main Line Health System Bryn Mawr, PA During Elizabeth s more than 30 years of maternal child nursing, she worked as a staff nurse in labor and delivery, newborn nursery and postpartum, and an IBCLC. Elizabeth practiced as an adjunct professor for maternal child nursing for Delaware County Community College and Widener University in Pennsylvania. Her RTS journey began in 1986 as a hospital perinatal bereavement coordinator. Elizabeth joined the RTS national faculty in Throughout her career, Elizabeth has served as chair for perinatal bereavement and perinatal palliative and hospice care committees. She also planned and implemented perinatal bereavement programs for three hospitals. Currently, she is the nurse manager for perinatal testing centers in a four hospital health system; system chair, Perinatal Bereavement Committee; system chair, Perinatal Palliative and Hospice Care Committee; member of the hospital Bioethics Committee; member of the Pregnancy Loss and Infant Death Alliance Board of Directors. Elizabeth was vice president for the Pennsylvania Resource Organization for Lactation Consultants from 2011 through Dr. Tim Cranfill, DMin, BCC Director of Pastoral Care Northeast and Mission Trail Baptist Hospitals Division of Mission and Ministry Regional Director of Bereavement Services, Baptist Health System San Antonio, Texas Joining the RTS National Faculty in 2017, Tim s experience as a chaplain and an educator extends 20 years. He began his work at a large multi-site healthcare system in Atlanta, GA. From there he continued his chaplaincy service at the VA in Little Rock, AR. and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. In these facilities he served psychiatric, rehab, and medical oncology patients. Tim went on to work with a large pediatric facility where he spent 10 years working in pediatric oncology, pediatric intensive care, level one pediatric trauma unit, and an 89-bed NICU. Additionally, he held a faculty appointment at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences School of Nursing where he taught courses on end-of-life and grief and loss, and conducted pediatric post-conferences for student nurses. Tim completed his Master of Divinity in 1991 and his Doctor of Ministry in 2004, and is currently completing a second doctorate in professional counseling. Nursing contact hours Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, Inc., is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation. Resolve Through Sharing Bereavement Training: Perinatal Death provides contact hours. Resolve Through Sharing Coordinator Training provides 7 contact hours. The three online modules provide 1 contact hour each. California Provider (Gundersen Lutheran Bereavement and Advance Care Planning Services) approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider #12245, for contact hours for Resolve Through Sharing Bereavement Training: Perinatal Death, 7 contact hours for Resolve Through Sharing Coordinator Training, and 1 contact hour each for the three online modules. Social work continuing education hours Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, Inc., provider #1089, is approved as a provider for continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards. aswb.org. ASWB Approval period: Nov. 14, 2015 Nov. 14, Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, Inc., maintains responsibility for the program. Social workers will receive continuing education hours by participating in Resolve Through Sharing Bereavement Training: Perinatal Death, 7 continuing education hours by participating in Resolve Through Sharing Coordinator Training. The three online modules provide 1 continuing education hour each. Other credits Resolve Through Sharing is a provider for the National Association for Catholic Chaplains. These programs provide 15.3 contact hours for Resolve Through Sharing Bereavement Training: Perinatal Death, 8.4 contact hours for Resolve Through Sharing Coordinator Training, and 1.2 contact hours for each of the three online modules. Other disciplines will receive a certificate of attendance. To receive contact/continuing education (CE) hours, nurses, social workers and chaplains must be present for each full day of training (no partial credit will be given).
