3 Debbie Junk-Lloyd takes on responsibility for In-patient Rehab I am pleased to announce that Debbie Junk-Lloyd will be taking on responsibility for the In-patient Rehab Unit. This area of the acute inpatient area will be rooms 317 to 328. Debbie has been the Clinical Manager for Rehab Services for a number of years now, and for almost two years also had responsibility for the Pharmacy Department. In December of last year, Debbie took on the Diabetes Education Program. Over the past few years Debbie has worked on several revenue generating initiatives, such as leading the out-patient rehab billing restructuring and participating in the new Lucentis ophthalmology project. On a personal level, Debbie is working on obtaining her Master s degree while continuing to work full time. Debbie brings a great deal of knowledge and expertise to this position. Preventing decompensation and functional decline are top priorities within our Senior Friendly program. The clinical leadership team felt that realigning the physical location of patients with a coordinated multi-disciplinary team of staff, implementing latest best practices and enhancing our assessment and treatment protocols would go a long way to strengthen our Senior Friendly program. On April 8, Julia Sek will hand over the baton to Debbie. Please join me in applauding Debbie as she takes on this new role.
