1 Position Title: Psychologist / Social Worker, Townsville Position Status: Permanent Part-time (0.5) The Townsville Team provides local services to Townsville, and outreach services south to Mackay, north to Cairns, and their surrounding areas. Services may be provided in the service centre, home or community. Qualifications and Experience Mandatory recognised tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology and current registration with AASW (accredited member would be favourable) or AHPRA Experience in disability management and/or paediatrics is preferred. Montrose will support experienced therapists who want to make a transition to paediatric practice. The written statement to support your application This statement is to be no longer than two pages in length and should address the following: Capability and experience in providing evidence based therapy to achieve client goals within available resources Experience in performing therapy discipline specific assessments and designing, implementing and evaluating interventions for children and young adults with physical and other associated disabilities, developmental delay and / or autism Effective communication skills with all stakeholders - customers, families, referrers and colleagues to address agreed outcomes Experience in mentoring junior or inexperienced staff Your organisation skills and problem solving in caseload management Referees: Include details of two referees, one person from your profession who can comment on your professional expertise, and a direct supervisor who may be contacted with respect to your application. 3 Montrose Therapy and Respite Services The NDIS commences in Queensland with early transition sites in Townsville, Charters Towers and Palm Island from 1 April Montrose has been providing outreach therapy services to northern Queensland for the past 15 years and is now expanding in Townsville to allow us to continue to work with our existing customers in the area and respond to expected demand for additional services. The Townsville Team will provide local services and also outreach services south to Mackay, north to Cairns and to their surrounding areas. Our approach in Townsville In order to provide improved services to existing customers and to extend our service to those people receiving NDIS packages, we have identified the need to have a permanent office in the area. Our Townsville service centre will initially provide physiotherapy, speech pathology and occupational therapy across all age groups. Services will focus on our existing areas of expertise including neuromuscular conditions and other physical disabilities, early intervention and developmental delay. We look forward to continuing to work with partners in the area and are excited to be able to offer extended services to people in the region. This is something that our existing customers have requested for some time. Other Services Montrose offers a range of other services. For more information, please see Employment Information Under the Employee Enterprise Agreement 2015, the salary range for full time equivalent is from $56, gross (Grade 1) to $83, gross (Grade 2) depending on experience plus 9.5% superannuation. Montrose provides access to salary sacrificing which can extend the salary by a substantial amount. Further information about salary sacrificing and its effect on the total package is available at interview. Montrose Therapy and Respite Services also provides: An additional 3 days paid leave between Christmas and New Year. Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy - Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency Speech Pathology - Eligible to be a member of the Speech Pathology Australia. Social Worker - Eligible to be a member with the Australian Association of Social Workers. Excellent communication/negotiation and client/stakeholder service skills. Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment and independently. Demonstrated ability to maintain clinical currency. 4

Demonstrated ability to operate independently as well as in a team environment. Current C class driver s license. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
