2 The Society of Rogerian Scholars announces the 2009 SRS Conference. The Society purposes include advancing nursing as a basic science and fostering understanding and use of the Science of Unitary Human Beings (SUHB) as a basis for theory development, research, education, and practice, as well as to provide educational forums on the SUHB. We invite you to visit the Society s website for membership information, other resources related to the SUHB, and to obtain additional copies of this Conference Brochure at PROGRAM PURPOSE: The program is designed to disseminate retrospective, current, and prospective visions of Rogers Science of Unitary Human Beings (SUHB). The activity is intended for nurses in all career paths, other health care professionals, and other interested people. Participants knowledge of the state of the SUHB will be enhanced through a historical perspective, a discussion of theorybased developments, research reports related to theory, practice, education, and administration, and presentations relating to issues and implications for the future of the science OVERALL OBJECTIVES a. Describe the conceptual foundations of the SUHB b. Discuss the current state of unitary science c. Describe the application of SUHB to practice, education, research, and administration d.
