Nurse Leaders Summit July 25-26, 2019 The Nurse Leader Summit is a day-and-a-half designed with our nursing leaders in mind. During the Summit, participants discuss strategies that create a culture of caring in the workplace, decrease compassion fatigue, and burnout and learn to identify skills and resources that build self-awareness and the ability to cope with stressors associated with aging services. It is structured around the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership that Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner identified. The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership resulted from an intensive research study to determine the leadership competencies that are essential to getting extraordinary things done in organizations. Audience: The program is available to anyone irrespective of clinical or managerial experience HFA/RCA Preceptor Course March 5 August 21 This full-day course meets the educational program requirement to become an approved preceptor. In this program, you ll immerse yourself in clinical assessment and care planning, completion of the MDS, and the regulatory body surrounding the RAI/MDS process. MDS Basics February 5 June 4 November 5 This full-day course is designed for those new to the MDS and need a basic understanding of the manual and assessments. The most current CMS guidelines, timing and scheduling of assessments, and highlighted sections from Chapter 3 will be provided, as well as
