2 Our Mission The North Arkansas Partnership for Health Education (NAPHE) is hosting its 19th Annual Nurse Educator Institute. Our mission is to bring worldclass speakers to the beautiful Ozarks with evidence-based guidelines to improve teaching skills with an emphasis on practical application. Target Audience Educators at all levels of nursing education, including those teaching in ADN, BSN, Diploma, PN & CNA programs. Clinical nurse educators, staff development and other allied health professionals will gain valuable information to apply to practice. Nursing Students are always welcome! Registration Deadline March 26, 2019 is the registration deadline. Since registration and hotel rooms are limited, please register early. We anticipate our block of rooms to completely sell out. Call for availability after April 1st. Confirmation will only be sent if your registration form and payment are received no later than two weeks before the conference begins. Exhibitor Opportunities We are looking for educational, clinical and fun vendors to display their products and services. Breaks and lunches will be held in the exhibit area for maximum exposure to attendees. Midwest MSD Provider Approval#: AR Successful Completion: Attendees are required to attend 100% of a full day s session to receive nursing contact hours. Any one day can be attended. 3 Featured Speaker Pamela R. Jeffries, PhD, RN, FAAN, ANEF, FSSH Dean and Professor - The George Washington University School of Nursing Pam is well regarded for her scholarly contributions to nursing in the development of innovative teaching strategies, experiential learning techniques, new pedagogies and the delivery of content using technology. Working with the National League for Nursing (NLN), Pam developed the major contribution to simulation scholarship, the framework and monograph. She is the editor of Simulations in Nursing Education: From Conceptualization to Evaluation (2nd edition), Developing Simulation Centers Using the Consortium Model and Clinical Simulations in Nursing Education: Advanced Concepts, Trends, and Opportunities. Pam is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, an inductee of the prestigious Sigma Theta Tau Research Hall of Fame, an inaugural fellow of the Society for Simulation in Health Care Academy and the 2016 recipient of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Excellence Award. Her accomplishments and dedication to nursing have been recognized through prestigious teaching and research awards and honors.
