This is CNWL Your guide to the new divisions

2 This is CNWL Your guide to the new divisions From Claire Murdoch It is getting harder to sum up all we do; we know we do a lot of it! Last year we saw 270,000 patients; 83% in our physical and sexual health services; ffender Care is now providing healthcare in 17 prisons and immigration removal centres. We cover a very large area from High Wycombe and Milton Keynes, through London into Winchester and Kent! It is a fabulous achievement! However there is a downside people speak about our size making us less local; about problem areas taking our corporate eye off the local ball. This is a genuine concern for the outside world, especially commissioners and local councils, but also for staff too. So we ve responded. This is the main reason we have reorganised ourselves to be much more local when issues arise, they do so locally, so we will sort them out locally too. It makes us more nimble where it counts. We didn t want to lose the quality safeguards that come from bringing experts in particular services together so we ve created Clinical Networks, where valuable work like professional oversight and benchmarking can continue. This booklet explains all this and tells you more about the people involved; we are first and foremost about people. Inevitably everyone wants to know how it affects them, where they fit in. This tells you but let s also remember we are one organisation. We have a CNWL way. That s not a structure but staff who professionally demonstrate compassion, respect, empowerment and partnership alongside their skills. So wherever you are, you can proudly say, This is CNWL.

This is CNWL Your guide to the new divisions 3 The divisions CNWL s new divisional structure is about local accountability and local focus for commissioners and for staff. It is about integration not centralisation, because the structure has to work for the divisions but also save time through intelligent use of systems. First phase The first phase of the new structure came into operation on 1 September, with appointments to the divisional director, borough director, medical and nursing director roles. Second phase The second phase has now begun and will finish at the end of December. ppointments will be announced on 5 January The three divisions are: dult and lder dult Mental Health Services (Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster, Brent and Harrow) and Learning Disability Services. Hillingdon (mental health and community health), Camden (community health), CMHS and Eating Disorders. Milton Keynes (all services), ffender Care, Sexual Health and ddictions. Managing the divisions Robyn Doran, the Trust s Chief perating fficer (C) is to manage the divisions. With the new structure there are three divisional directors who report to Robyn Doran. Each is in charge of individual boroughs/ areas as well as specific services. Clinical Leads will help to support the smooth transition to borough structures. Information correct as at 19 December 2014.

4 This is CNWL Your guide to the new divisions The divisions have the following leaders: Division : dult and lder dult Mental Health Services (Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster, Brent and Harrow) and learning disability services. Charlie MacNally, Dr Con Kelly, Medical Division B: Hillingdon (mental health and community health), Camden (community health), CMHS and Eating Disorders (London). Stephanie Bridger, Nursing Maria Brien, Dr Pramod Prabhakaran, Interim Medical Michelle Johnson, Nursing Division C: Milton Keynes (all services), ffender Care, Sexual Health and ddictions. Lorna Payne, Dr Sarah Marriott, Medical Helen Willetts, Nursing Dr lex Lewis, the Trust s Medical will manage the three divisional medical directors. ndy Mattin, the Trust s of Nursing and Quality will manage the three divisional nursing directors.

This is CNWL Your guide to the new divisions 5 Service lines Two service line mergers will go ahead: CMHS and Eating Disorders ddictions and ffender Care CMHS and Eating Disorders There is a careful transition plan in place to bring these two services together. Doing so will realise some financial efficiency at managerial and clinical level. Jackie Shaw is the Service. Jackie Shaw, Service ddictions and ffender Care These two services will also be brought together under the management of Richard Comerford, Service. The middle management level below the service director role will be reviewed to support this change. Richard Comerford, Service Learning Disabilities The level of specialism and risk within the service from a safeguarding/cqc perspective is such that it is not felt appropriate to make significant changes to this service line as part of this review. However, we expect to review this service line in the next year for the most appropriate long-term solution. Jo Carroll is the Service. Jo Carroll, Service Mental Health Rehabilitation The service line will be retained for all the inpatient elements but we will explore shared management structures/functions with other areas to realise immediate management savings. Like Learning Disabilities, a review of the service line will take place within the year. The Mental Health Rehabilitation Service is David Dunkley. David Dunkley, Service Sexual Health Sexual Health was not affected by the consultation and Mark Maguire is the Service. Mark Maguire, Service
