2 GUEST FACULTY A Unique Health Care Leadership Development Experience BETH HIGH RICK LASH PENNY PAUCHA Beth High is president of High Road Consulting, a leadership development company and is a principal partner with HRCPartners LLC, specializing in the development of online learning platforms that extend learning and development efforts. As a leadership development specialist Beth works from a core belief that demonstrating exemplary leadership is possible for anyone, starts with a personal choice, and takes practice. Beth is a Certified Master Facilitator of The Leadership Challenge and has worked around the globe introducing the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership. Rick Lash is the Hay Group Director of the North American Leadership and Talent Practice. Rick holds a doctorate in psychology and is a registered psychologist and a certified executive coach. He has over 20 years experience in the design and implementation of organizational change interventions which increase performance at the individual, team and corporate level, and is widely recognized as an expert in both creating cultures of continuous learning and developing emotional intelligence. Rick is a dynamic conference presenter who has also written several articles for the Globe and Mail s Careers section. Penny Paucha is a certified Coach through the Neuroleadership Group, with extensive experience helping health care leaders and their teams remove the barriers to stellar results. Prior to consulting, Penny worked as a health professional and manager and has published in the field of optimizing organizational health. Her evidence-based approach incorporates the latest findings from the field of social neuroscience as well as instinct based assessment and proven models of leadership development. MIKE VILLENEUVE JOY RICHARDS JONATHAN BRESLIN Mike Villeneuve has more than 35 years experience in varied clinical, education, research, administration and policy roles. He is program lead for the Master of Nursing in Health Systems Leadership and Administration at University of Toronto's Faculty of Nursing. Mike led numerous national and international health system and nursing initiatives in roles as scholar in residence at the Canadian Nurses Association, visiting consultant with the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development and senior policy consultant in the federal Office of Nursing Policy. He publishes and speaks widely in the areas of public policy and nursing. Joy Richards is Vice President, Patient Experience, & Chief, Health Professions at University Health Network in Toronto. She holds clinical appointments at the University of Toronto Faculty of Nursing, York University Faculty of Nursing, and Humber College. Joy s doctoral dissertation focused on exploring and understanding the development and practice of feminine courage in leadership. Her particular interests, focus and passion are clinical leadership, quality of work life environments and the development of client -centered practice settings, with a special focus on excellence in geriatric care. Jonathan Breslin holds a Senior Fellowship in Clinical and Organizational Ethics from the University of Toronto. He created a comprehensive ethics program for North York General Hospital and led it for many years. He now works as the Ethicist at Southlake Regional Health Centre and Mackenzie Health, and consults and coaches on ethics in health care. Jonathan is a passionate educator who has given more than 200 presentations on various topics in ethics to a wide range of audiences. His main area of interest is organizational ethics, especially the development of ethical cultures. BEVERLEY SIMPSON JUDITH SKELTON-GREEN JULIA ANN SCOTT Beverley Simpson is an organizational consultant & leadership coach specializing in people, teams and systems development. She has broad experience in nursing staff, management, education and project leadership roles and has developed in-depth expertise in advancing professional practice, creating successful change initiatives, building strong teams and executing innovative solutions. She works with health care agencies seeking solutions to complex practice/ organizational issues and has a wide-ranging network of collegial relationships that sustain her learning. Judith Skelton-Green has more than 30 years of experience in clinical and educational health leadership positions. Since the fall of 1995 Judith has been President of TRANSITIONS, a consulting firm specializing in facilitating human and organizational change. She has consulted with roughly 200 different clients in more than 160 highly varied provincial, national and international engagements. Judith is widely published, and is a frequently sought speaker, facilitator, mentor and coach. Julia Ann Scott is an experienced health care consultant and leader who is currently Vice President Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Executive at Grey Bruce Health Services, a six site hospital system. In this capacity she is responsible for a wide range of clinical programs as well as a number of system and service redesign initiatives. In her consulting career she has worked with a diverse range of clients across Canada. Julia has expertise in organizational and business process redesign, lean methodologies, quality improvement, strategic change and leadership development.

A reservation will be held for 2 weeks only and payment of a non-refundable $1,000 deposit per person will save your place at the 201 Institute. You must register at least 2 individuals. These individuals may be a mix of established and emerging leaders or members of different disciplines who work together and want to strengthen their team effectiveness. The opportunity for mutual, as well as individual development will be a key feature of the program.
