2 Qualifications & Requirements: Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Nursing which meets the registration requirements of APRHRA in Division 1 or 3 (Division 1 nurses require recognised postgraduate studies in psychiatry). 12 Position Purpose: Werribee Mercy Psychiatric Unit and Short Stay Unit are part of Werribee Mercy s Mental Health Program and provides in-patient assessment and care to people in an acute phase of a psychiatric illness, between the ages of 16 and 65 years, and who reside in the cities of Maribyrnong, Hobson s Bay & Wyndham. Registered Psychiatric Nurses work as a member of a multi disciplinary team that provides, quality client-focused care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical interventions ensuring a holistic approach to the client, their family and carers. As a member of the Werribee Mercy Psychiatric Unit multi-disciplinary team, the RPN2 requires excellent organisational and time management skills, sound clinical knowledge and skills, the ability to work according to safe practice standards, and ability to work within a budget.
