Immediate access to emergency delivery theatres, resident consultant anaesthetists and OT team we go beyond the expected. Our critical care facilities are second to none. Indeed, our neonatal intensive care and special care baby units are right here in the hospital itself, with the most sophisticated systems available to monitor and care for babies who have complications. The units are managed by consultant neonatologists and a highly skilled specialist nurse team. In complex pregnancies, a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals led by your consultant obstetrician will meet prior to the birth to plan a clinical care pathway to ensure safe delivery for both mother and the baby. The team, unique to your personal circumstance, will include a senior consultant obstetrician, consultant anaesthetist, consultant neonatologist, a medical obstetrician and a lead nurse.

8 high-risk pregnancies personalised pain relief A high-risk pregnancy is one in which the mother s health risk may affect her or the baby during pregnancy. In such cases, it is paramount to ensure both the lives are safe. Maternia, a quaternary care centre, houses all specialities under one roof. This allows us to efficiently manage high-risk pregnancies. Our state-of- the-art ICU, intensivists, interventional radiology, blood bank and emergency OT facilities help us to manage patients better. Parents-to-be may be referred by their consultant obstetrician to meet a consultant anaesthetist prior to delivery if need be, or wish to discuss pain relief options on the day of the delivery. A resident anaesthetist will conduct an assessment and advise you on the best options for pain relief as per your needs. In a first for the private sector, we have a dedicated obstetric consultant anaesthetist in the labour ward, 24/7 to offer epidural and other pain relief services as and when required. birthing suites Taking the experience one notch higher, are Maternia s exclusive Luxury Birthing Suites. Featuring a single all-inclusive price for normal or Caesarean deliveries, the Suites include a team of an Obstetrician, a Neonatologist and the Nursing Team, who conduct the delivery within the Suite itself; it is to mimic the delivery in a homely environment. A typical Birthing Suite package involves 3-4 day stay in the Suite, complimentary services during the stay, include Epidural Analgesia (painless labour), physiotherapy, lactation counselling, dedicated nursing assistance, baby care kit, newborn screening and baby photo shoot. This can also be arranged as a one-on-one bespoke session to discuss all aspects of parenthood. Refresher session Tailored for couples who have previously experienced childbirth, these are private, bespoke sessions that refresh and update you on all areas of childbirth. Breastfeeding class Breastfeeding can seem like a challenge at the beginning.
