1 The Brain Injury Association of Illinois 2018 Annual Educational Conference October 19 20, 2018 Drury Lane Conference Center Oakbrook Terrace, IL Registration Packet The purpose of the annual educational conference is to educate individuals who have sustained an acquired brain injury, their families and the professionals who treat them regarding best practices to promote optimum wellness following brain injury. WHO SHOULD ATTEND? The annual BIA of Illinois Educational Conference is open to individuals who have sustained an acquired brain injury, their family members and caregivers, rehabilitation professionals, and professionals working with an individual who has sustained an acquired brain injury. The conference is open to the public. The Conference content has been approved for 11 Continuing Education hours for the following disciplines: Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Social Workers, Speech Language Pathologists. This program offers 11 CE hours for the complete 2-day participation (7 hours for Friday session, 4 hours Saturday session) SIU School of Medicine is licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to provide continuing education for Nursing Home Administrators ( ) and Counselors/Clinical Counselors ( ). This program offers 11 CE hours for the two days of participation (7 hours for Day 1 only, 4 hours for Day 2 only) for licensed nursing home administrators and licensed counselors/clinical counselors. The Human Services Education Council is approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as a provider of continuing education for Psychologists (Provider # ). This program offers 11 CE hours for the two days of participation (7 hours for Day 1 only, 4 hours for Day 2 only) for psychologists. The conference attendance hours can also be submitted for ACBIS continuing education. Certificates of Attendance will be awarded upon request for other disciplines and work related requirements. Hotel Lodging (adjacent to the Drury Lane) Hilton Suites Hilton Garden Inn Room rates will be based on the availability of rooms at each hotel.
