Perform Meaningful Use by: Demonstrating 15 core set objectives and 5 of 10 menu set objectives over a 90-day continuous period in 2012; or, Adopt, Implement, Upgrade (AIU) based on state Medicaid program requirements.

17 Test ability to exchange key clinical information athena leveraged an existing external HIE connection to the cloud for the test. A test patient CCD was sent to the HIE from every client tablespace. All MU providers on athenaclinicals have satisfied this measure! Implement drug formulary checks The Surescripts formulary is automatically enabled with athenaclinicals. We monitor to ensure the formulary is available for the entire reporting period. Confirmation is displayed in the attestation summary workflow. Implement drug-drug and drug-allergy interaction checks Interaction checking is automatically enabled via Surescripts. We monitor to ensure checking is enabled for the entire reporting period. Confirmation is displayed in the attestation summary workflow. Implement one clinical decision support rule athenaclinicals Quality Management Engine will be used as the CDS tool. Per CMS, specialty-specific Clinical Quality Measures qualify as a rule Confirmation is displayed in the attestation summary workflow.
18 athenahealth helps providers satisfy the public health requirement by: Building and maintaining MU testing interfaces to all applicable immunization and syndromic surveillance registries. Enrolling providers with the appropriate immunization or syndromic surveillance registry. Submitting a test of electronic data to the immunization registry. Submitting a test of syndromic surveillance data to the public health agency. If applicable, alerting providers that the exclusion of both measures is appropriate. athenanet will alert providers to claim the appropriate exclusion if they do not perform immunizations or capture relevant syndromic surveillance data during the 90-day reporting period.
