The position will be responsible for: Ensuring the clinic delivers quality treatment and meets agreed Health Service Agreement commitments to clients Managing clinic performance and leading strategies in line with key performance indicators to provide comprehensive, holistic and culturally appropriate primary health care services Care coordination and case management to ensure effective recall practices and seamless client services provided by MATSICHS Coordinating a visiting program for Specialist Medical and Allied Health Services Working collaboratively with Practice Managers and your team to ensure best practice Providing regular reports to Senior Management as required Contributing to community promotions and engagement strategies that includes local marketing, sponsorship and alliances to build and maintain patient loyalty and return rates Ensure maximization of Medicare Billings to achieve the set income targets identified in the annual cash flow budget To be successful in this role, you will have: Ability to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate others to achieve identified outcomes Experience in leading compliance to best practice approaches Problem-solving skills enabling you to demonstrate reasoning and judgment in resolving complex issues Working knowledge of and experience in the Medicare Benefits Schedule Understanding of workplace health and safety along with the ability to implement safe work practices A qualification in Business, Management, Health, Nursing and/or Allied Health (preferred) A current Blue Card A current Criminal History Check Current First Aid and CPR Certificates In return, you will be rewarded with the opportunity to develop your career within this organisation that truly values its people. IUIH established the Moreton Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (MATSICHS) in 2011 as a strategic response to the significant growth and geographic dispersion of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Moreton Bay area. Role Purpose This position is responsible for the overall management ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective comprehensive primary health care services in the Moreton ATSICHS Clinics to clients, in line with the IUIH Model of Care. The scope of the position includes business planning, administration, financial management and leadership. This role also entails the oversight of health service quality and safety to meet key performance indicators and maximizing Medicare.

3 Role Responsibilities Practice Management: Ensure the Clinic delivers quality treatment and meets agreed health Service Agreement commitments to clients Manage Clinic performance and lead strategies, in line with the IUIH MoC and agreed key performance indicators, to provide comprehensive, holistic and culturally appropriate primary health care services to clients Ensure effective care coordination and case management approaches with clients for health and wellbeing services and ensure effective client recall practices and seamless client service(s) across the range of Services provided by MATSICHS Work collaboratively with your team to ensure best practice and efficiencies are gained Work collaboratively with management and the team of Practice Managers to ensure best practice Coordinate a program of visiting Specialist Medical and Allied Health Services Provide regular reports to Senior Management as required Work outside of normal hours (including late night weekly clinics and Saturday clinics) to meet operational delivery requirements Planning and Leading Change: Provide leadership for your multidisciplinary team in the delivery of efficient, effective and responsive health services Provide leadership and direction for staff in the implementation of the IUIH model of care Contribute to community promotions and engagement strategies that includes local marketing, sponsorship and alliances to build and maintain patient loyalty and return rates Work closely with the Manager, Clinical Services to review, monitor and improve systems against agreed indicators (e.g. identify gaps in business processes and service delivery, and formulate responses to address these) Service Provision: Ensure delivery of clinical services is underpinned by a clinical governance framework that fosters reflective practice, constructive feedback and service improvement, risk prevention and management, and the highest standards in quality and safety of client care Ensure ongoing maintenance of AGPAL accreditation standards Ensure effective operation of visiting specialist and allied health services; identify changes in demand and oversee efforts to procure additional / changing services in response to demand Work with IUIH and others in the promotion and delivery of education and health promotion and health prevention activities and events Ensure an effective and efficient client transport service Ensure an effective electronic health information system is maintained in line with best practice standards in privacy and data system management, and that all staff are trained and supported to use and maintain the system in line with their job roles Develop and implement effective strategies to harness and Respond appropriately to client feedback Financial Management: Ensure maximization of Medicare Billings to achieve the set income targets identified in the annual cash flow budget

4 Monitor and review service delivery and financial metrics; conduct routine internal audits Ensure currency of Medicare registration requirements is maintained for all providers, including provider numbers, PIP registration, MBS online claiming etc. Contribute to the development of the annual service budget for your clinic Ensure that funds are used in accordance with approved budgets, Corporate Policies and Procedures and funding body requirements Manage all service expenditures consistent with the Budget Relationship Management: Foster productive working relationships with other IUIH staff in the delivery of seamless support services Actively foster productive working relationships with local networks, government departments, other service providers and suppliers to promote IUIH and remain abreast of emerging issues. Encourage cross-functional collaboration to achieve the best outcome for the organisation. Champion IUIH s Ways Statement both internally and externally to the wider community. Information Management: Undertake reporting activities together with other relevant documentation within the scope of your role. Maintain the information flow that supports reliable data and documentation in your area of responsibility. 5 Legal Obligation: All relevant health professionals (including registered nurses and medical officers) who, in the course of their duties, formulate a reasonable suspicion that a child or young person has been abused or neglected in their home/community environment, have a legislative and a duty of care obligation to immediately report such concerns to the Department of Child Safety Other duties consistent with the position where required and/or requested by your Manager. Role Requirements Skills and Experience: Ability to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people Commitment to the philosophy and practice of Aboriginal Community Control Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate an effective team and to lead others in order to achieve identified outcomes Demonstrated experience and skill in the implementation of change management and continuous quality improvement Demonstrated experience in leading compliance to best practice approaches in clinical practice, clinical policies, systems and procedures Problem-solving skills, which will enable the appointee to demonstrate reasoning, judgment and analytical skills in the resolving of complex issues Demonstrated interpersonal skills that enable you to effectively communicate and liaise with a diverse range of clients to provide a quality client service and maintain positive working relationships. Working knowledge of and experience in the Medicare Benefits Schedule and its application in the CCHS setting, including understanding of the Closing the Gap programs and targets A sound understanding of workplace health and safety and an ability to implement safe work practices in the work environment A qualification in Business, Management, Health, Nursing and/or Allied Health preferred Mandatory Qualifications/Professional Registrations and Licences: Blue Card Criminal History Check First Aid Certificate CPR Certificate Mandatory Vaccinations: Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis Measles, mumps and rubella Varicella (Chicken Pox)
