Join us on the chapter bus ride to Lacrosse for a fun filled entertaining evening. The bus will depart from 4th-5th Ave NW/Center Street (across from St. John s Church) in Rochester at 5:45 pm. Some of the recent goings-on include: BMTCN - I am pleased to share with you the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) received confirmation of the registration of the BMTCN certification mark by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. VENDOR FAIR A superb turnout and 2 National ONS memberships awarded to Eva Brandes (winner of the drawing just for attending and meeting the vendors) and Tammy Adams (for bringing along the most non-member guests)! Thank you Sherry Looker for the well-planned, interactive, and educational evening ONS CONGRESS SAN ANTONIO so many members able to attend. A huge Thank you to the Chapter who supported my attendance at Congress. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. It was an amazing 4 days and those who attended would like to bring it home on the bus ride when we re Rollin on the River in June. We ll be posting the pictures on the V.C. & Facebook. GIFT OF LIFE DINNER a success! A bountiful array of hot dishes (no, not casseroles we re in Minnesota!), salads, desserts, and breads were prepared for the many guests at GOL. Thank you for those who stayed to help set-up, serve, visit, and clean-up. Thank you Sarah Valinski & Molly Buchtman for the planning & hosting. 2 nd time is a charm! REGIONAL CHAPTER OFFICERS PROGRAM Board members Molly Buchtman, Ashley Engelmann, Theresa Gannon, & Kim Holm are gearing up to travel to Overland Park, KS May 21 st to network with other Board members on topics such as: new ONS Strategic Planning, Event Planning, Successful Chapter Programs, Best Practices, and Idea Sharing. CHAPTER LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP President-Elect Ashley Engelmann will be attending July 20 th -31 st in Pittsburgh. She will be preparing for next year s Presidency. REMINDER: 30% off your ONCC certification exam Offer May 1 st through July 31 st, 2016 in recognition of ONCC s 30 th Anniversary. An extra enticement towards that credential. Google Doc in our future? The Board is looking to improve its ways of communicating.
