2 Current Status Currently DDU GKY, Kerala has trained 18,927 youths. Out of which13,447got placed in different well established organizations with active involvement of 34 PIAs. In the current FY, target - 17,886 and job placements - 12,520 youths with the participation of 20 PIAs. Major focus would be on the emancipation of differentially abled, STs and destitutes. DDU GKY, Kerala going to pilot a prestigious project (Sagaramala) on skilling with a special focus on coastal communities with an emphasis on coastal and shipping related trades. 25 September

This Financial Year we will conduct 40 Job Melas across Kerala including one PwD Job Mela Micro Placement Drive The concept of micro placement drive is arranging one or two employer at a small place for small number of job seekers. This concept also helps in DDU GKY candidates for getting jobs in their own locality. Most of the employers expect above mention sectors have small number of vacancies in accounting, administration, frond office, clerical staffs etc. In this Circumstances Micro placement drive helps to employers for selecting suitable candidates from a small group of Jobseekers.
