1 Note on Aajeevika Skill (Renamed as Deen Dayal Upadhya- Grameen Kausalya Yojana) Odisha is the 1 st state to be declared as an Annual Action plan State (AAP state) for implementation of Aajeevika Skill Development Program for the year Performance of last year under Placement Linked Skill Development Training Projects under ORMAS Target to train 30,000 rural youth Trained 14,405 youths and placed (joined in the jobs) 9367 candidates Government of India issued the guidelines of Aajeevika Skills Program late in Sept The cost of the training along with the other support cost has been revised from Rs. 12,100/- to Rs. 36,188/- for which the PIAs discontinuing the training program and the achievement has been only 50% of the target. Target for current year under DDU-GKY Target to train 50,000 rural youth Numbers of PIAs signed MoU : - 37 Numbers of youths to be trained through the above 37 PIAs:- 34,,250 Numbers of PIAs selected and to executee MoU:- 12 PIAs Numbers of youths to be trained through the above 12 PIAs:- 10,,390 Total PIAs :- 37 MoU signed + another 12 PIAs to sign MoU= 49 PIAs Numbers of pending proposals = 10 proposals for Project Approval and 13 for desk appraisal Numbers of youths to be trained through the 49 PIAs:- 44,640 Plan for counseling & tagging of candidates with PIAs :- 1 lakh All GRS have been assigned to mobilize rural youth and counseling of candidates & parents 93 Block level skill development coordinators have been selected and are to be placed in 30 districts Engagement of Technical Support Agency / Management Consulting Agency for enhancing Quality of training and placement :- RFP has been floated Post placement tracking by DRDAs also by an independent agency Planned for Industry tie up for placement of candidates Selection of IEC agency is under process for Mobilization and creating a database of prospective candidates.
