RECRUITMET IITIATIVES 4 Date // // 9// //7 Type of Recruitment Initiative (Menu Selection) Participation in Job Fairs Participation in Job Fairs Participation in events or programs sponsored by educational institutions Establishment of an intern program designed to assist members of the community Brief Description Of Activity On Tuesday, March,, KFOR/KAUT attended the Greater Grad Job Fair at Cox Convention Center in Downtown Oklahoma. The job fair was a half day event & allowed KFOR/KAUT to spend quality time with candidates. Members of the KFOR/KAUT-TV staff participated in the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters' Student Day Career Fair. Attendees totaled students from various colleges & universities in Oklahoma. On Thursday, September th,, KFOR ews Director spoke to a group of about 4- students at Oklahoma State University. She had been invited to the campus by OSU s chapter of the American Association of University Women. The KFOR-TV Internship Program is designed to supplement college classroom lessons with hands-on experience in television news, production, interactive and promotions/marketing. The program is offered to students who have completed their sophomore year of college, and will receive credit from the college or university for their internship. Students are recruited directly from all of the local colleges and universities.
