4 CASE STUDY INTERNATIONAL ACCOUNT DIRECTOR [3 HOUR CONSULTATION] Director level Sales professional with 10 years experience selling solutions for a number of blue chip technology providers, directly and through partnerships/ alliances. Most recently, has been International Account Director for a media/ commercial solutions company. The requirement The client is looking to move back into a more IT/ Solutions focused company and identified the following areas for consultation: Job Search Strategy given his desire to get back into IT focus Market Overview & Expectations C discuss realistic targets to alleviate his concerns/ apprehension CV review the client was happy with his CV but wanted a review First Consultation: Discussing the Client s career progression Identifying the Client s career strategy and desired role Initial Findings: The client had concerns that he had only been headhunted for unsuitable media/ advertising sales roles and despite making changes to his profile, the issue persisted. Concerned that a lack of recent IT sales experience might scupper any move. Despite the client being happy with his CV, we were not. Whilst the CV looked good aesthetically, the content and placement of key experience was lacking, the experience of interest was lost in the noise and in some cases was completely missing and this was the main cause for concern.
