2 Australian Activity: To 2018 Share of ICT Roles Advertised Per State Placements by Engagement Type Monthly Activity Contract renewals increased during the month, while permanent placements were just 11 percent of activity. The ACT recovered some ground with 7.4 percent of placements. Sydney and Melbourne represented almost half the market. SkillsMatch activity settled, recovering two percent from August. Demand figures suggest further improvement can be expected in October's placement activity. 4 Australian Supply: To 2018 Monthly Supply Median time to place has shrunk to merely 11 days for new contracts and 25 days for permanent roles. The high mean time to place of 41 days suggests that while most roles are getting filled more quickly, a few roles are taking much longer or remaining unfilled for the moment.
