Outreach Activities Performed During the Reporting Period The Licensee has broadly recruited for full-time vacancies and has undertaken supplemental recruitment measures as set out below. More specifically, in the last two years, the Licensee conducted the following supplemental recruitment initiatives, among others: Job Fairs Station WFXS participated in at least four job fairs as set forth below. At each job fair, station personnel who have substantial responsibility in the making of hiring decisions attended and distributed information about careers in the broadcast industry and Station WFXS. Scholarship Programs Station WFXS was involved in two scholarship programs designed to assist students interested in pursuing a career in broadcasting the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Annual Scholarship Program and the Davis Television/WFXS Scholarship provided through the Northcentral Foundation. For both scholarships, Station WFXS contributed a monetary donation, solicited applications and promoted the program on-air, and assisted with the review and selection of recipients. In addition, Station WFXS s Vice President and General Manager serves as a Director of the Northcentral Foundation, which raises funds for and provides scholarships for college education. Training Programs Station WFXS encourages and supports training programs for station personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions, including programs focused on sales strategy and management, engineering and IT development and related specialist certifications. The training programs attended by station personnel and those involved in an Engineering mentor are listed below. EEO Training for Management Station WFXS management attended seminars on employment and hiring practices, which focused on methods of ensuring equal employment opportunity and preventing discrimination. 2

3 Support for Local Educational Institutions Station WFXS is also a partner and supporter of the Wausau Engineering and Global Leadership Academy, a local charter high school that focuses on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education. Station WFXS is a financial supporter of the Academy and Station WFXS s Vice President and General Manager serves as the Chairman of the Wausau EGL Academy Governance Council. Job Shadowing/Station Tours/Student Mentoring Station WFXS regularly conducts station tours and organizes job shadows, career information and Mock Employment interviews with local students to provide information and background regarding station operations and obtaining a career in broadcasting or technology.
