COMPETITOR COMMENTS WHAT WAS THE BEST PART ABOUT THE SKILLS ONTARIO COMPETITION?

Getting to feel great about yourself for what you accomplished.

I got to do something I enjoy doing, experienced what a job would be like in the service industry, and realized the benefits and the importance of working in a skilled trade.

The judges and volunteers that ran the competition and really just wanted you to do well.

The self satisfaction of using skills I have learned under pressure to complete the tasks asked of me in the competition. Competing amongst other strong competitors was also rewarding.

The best part was finishing and handing in my work. I proved to myself that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to.

I learned that hard work pays off. I expected to place top 10 to top 8 but I ended up earning Silver medal. This is because I worked very, very hard and put many hours in practicing.
