List of Donors RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution to accept City donations of $131,255 received in support of the Beverly Gardens Park Renovation Project. The funds would be appropriated as follows: FROM TO $131, $131, Beverly Gardens Park Beverly Gardens Park Community Services Dept. Public Works Dept. Restricted Contribution CIP Construction INTRODUCTION This report provides information in regards to City donations that were received prior to the establishment of the Community Charitable Foundation, and that have been received specifically for the Beverly Gardens Park Renovation. Staff seeks City Council approval to appropriate the entire $131,255 to the Beverly Gardens Capital Improvement Project (CIP) Account. DISCUSSION To date, the City has received donations through the Friends of Beverly Gardens Park prior to the final formation of The City of Beverly Hills Community Charitable Foundation (CBHCCF). Once the CBHCCF received its final designation as a non-profit, 501 (c)3 from the State and IRS, donations for the Beverly Gardens Park Project were then given to the CBHCCF instead of the City from that point forward. In addition to the $131,255 received by the City, the CBHCCF has received $363,915, for a total of $495,170 for the project to date. The donations received by CBHCCF have been (or will be) processed and accepted by the organization separately. Page 1 of 2 6/12/2013

4 RESOLUTION NO. 13-R- RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEVERLY HILLS ACCEPTING CITY DONATIONS FOR THE BEVERLY GARDENS PARK RENOVATION PROJECT IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $131,255 AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR The Council of the City of Beverly Hills does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1. The City has received donations of $131,255 from 42 donors listed in Exhibit A to be used to support the Beverly Gardens Park Renovation Project. Section 2. The City Council hereby accepts the donated funding in the amount of $131,255. follows: Section 3. From Appropriation of funds in the amount of $131,225 is authorized as To $131, $131, Beverly Gardens Park Beverly Gardens Park Community Services Dept. Public Works Dept. Restricted Contribution CIP Construction Section 4. The City hereby appoints the City Manager or his designee as agent of the City to accept the donated funding and to execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to purchase orders and payment requests, which may be necessary. Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of the Resolution and shall cause the Resolution and his certification to be entered in the Book of Resolutions of the Council of the City.
