2 To the class of 2016: Excelsior staff would like to congratulate all the graduating seniors. In order to make your senior year memorable for all of you, the following events have been scheduled. Please read this packet in its entirety! GRADUATION WILL BE HELD ON: Friday June 10, :00 p.m. Maverick s Stadium Stadium Way, Adelanto, CA MANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE: Monday June 6, :00 a.m. Victorville Campus Gym Bear Valley Road Building 11 Victorville, CA

3 SENIOR MEETING: Monday, October 26, 2015 at 4:30-6:30 pm at Excelsior s Victorville Campus in the Gymnasium. Check-in is at 4:30. Attendance at this event is MANDATORY and no make- up dates will be available. Please Note: - All Cap & Gown orders will be taken at this meeting. - A Late Fee will be added to any cap and gown orders received after March 1, Graduation Cap and Gown is required for participation in the graduation ceremony. If a student chooses not to purchase a graduation cap and gown, school will provide the student a loaner cap, gown and tassel for wear during graduation ceremony. The Student will be responsible for returning the loaner cap, gown and tassel immediately after the graduation ceremony or he or she will be charged $ Please contact your school administrator for information regarding the loaner cap and gown. Gown Pick-up: Thursday, April 28 th, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Victorville Campus. SENIOR CLASS PANORAMIC PICTURE: Thursday, April 28 th, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Victorville Campus. SENIOR BREAKFAST: Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Excelsior s Victorville campus. This event is open to all seniors and their families. *Graduation Tickets will be distributed at senior breakfast. SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT: Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Excelsior s Victorville campus. *This event is by invitation only.

4 EXCELSIOR Charter Schools Graduation 2016 Each senior will receive Five (5) free tickets for graduation. Additional Graduation Ticket Purchase: Ten (10) additional tickets may be purchased at the senior breakfast on May 18, 2016 at the cost of $8.00 each (non-refundable). There is no waiting list and no reserving the tickets. Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis at Senior Breakfast on May 18, 2016 at Excelsior s Victorville Campus.

5 Class of 2016 DIPLOMA NAME VERIFICATION Dear Parent: Please clearly PRINT your child s name the way you would like it to appear on his/her diploma (example: John Smith, John H. Smith, John Howard Smith). Remember to capitalize and punctuate where necessary. Keep in mind this is an official document. We recommend the name appear as it does on the student s birth certificate and/or Social Security card. Please be advised: Please print the exact name and spelling that you would like on your diploma. Diplomas will be printed based on your response. Please print legibly and double check the spelling. If no response is received by October 30, 2015, we will use the name we have on file and a $25.00 fee will be charged for any needed reprint. 6 CAL GRANT GPA VERIFICATION REQUEST The Cal Grant Program has funds available for college. If you are interested in receiving money for college through a Cal Grant Award and would like more information, go to and click on Cal Grants on the left hand side of the page. If you qualify and would like to apply, fill out the lower portion of this mailing. Excelsior will submit the GPA verification online for all students who meet the requirements and respond by October 30, Acceptance of Excelsior's submission may be verified by you by going to the California Student Aid Commission website ( and clicking on the WebGrants for Students area. From there you can set up your own account and check your grant status at any time. CAL GRANT GPA VERIFICATION REQUEST* Graduate Name Social Security Number* *The California Student Aid Commission will not accept the Cal Grant GPA Verification Request without the student s Social Security Number.
